YoungBoiNate Aren’t the platinum time relics and the N. Sanely perfect relics hard enough already? Getting all the boxes shouldn’t be such a major task. Boxes should be more used as an added challenge, not finding them from off screen spots. That’s what the hidden gems are for.

Gregorz Bzwshenkivch Gregorz Bzwshenkivch That’s a fair point and I can somewhat agree but it just makes people to look at videos on how to find the missing boxes that are hidden pretty much out of sight. For example the hidden boxes in this level inside the tires. Everyone would think that if you jumped in the tires would think that it would be a death if you jump in them. And for me it went to a point where at least I started jumping on every single box and tried to get as high as possible and it became and annoyance and time wasting. So I get your point but I would prefer the boxes being more of a challenge rather than searching for a needle in a haystack. But then again that’s just my opinion.

The part you are looking for is 3:42 and 4:41. They hid the last two boxes in motherglobbing tyres. COME ON, DEVS. How is anybody supposed to find these :'D

@@ilck-ym-blals7385 completing this game is hardly comparable to the older titles. Crash 4's padding is the worst Ive ever seen in a game, considering youre gonna be going through any level a dozen times.
@@dyztroyax4628 I personally think its the best game out the 4 ...its definitely harder ..I'd say that they were comparable games but the 4th was more of a challenge to max out than the others which I'm happy with.
Alongside the tire boxes and the one on top of the structure near the last checkpoint, there's a nearly invisible crate at 3:38, under the rail. It's in front of a pipe that's nearly the same color as the crates, so it's real easy to miss. Basically, after you climb back up to avoid the last obstacle at the end, just be sure to immediately go under again before the rail ends.

I notice a lot of new players aren't aware that just by tapping, not just holding circle will cause you to jump high to some places with a added double jump.
This gives me Crash Mind over Mutants memories, the rolling desert level

Those boxes in the tires got me heated 😤💀😂 I’ve played this damn mission about 40 times already!!! I can only imagine what the rest of the game is like. (Gotta love it though)
It’s really really hard to love this game, they really overdid it with the collectibles. I’ll just stick with the previous games

I’m actually pretty good at the game, it’s just a proven fact that they overdid it with collectibles. Making it so you have to get 12 gems per level is just a cheap shot way to make the game seem longer than what it is. And finding boxes was never this ridiculous you can’t even begin to say it was. You always had a clear idea of where boxes were in previous games

You have no idea how many times I’ve played this stage trying to get all boxes and always ending with 2 missing. I’ve never wondered that they could be below at the sides of the bonus stage corridor
I saw something in between those tires each time I did the bonus level but I never thought it would be there. I thought to myself “this is the stupidest spot why would I check there” and lo and behold those were the last 2 I was missing.

1:13 it's above the tin can thingy, you have to jump on it, jump straight up, switch the dimension or whatever and boom, there's the crate

Like who would've thought there are missing boxes inside those rubber thingy there that flying platform came from. There are people who doesn't wann continue without 100% completing a level. New crash, new rules. If anything looks like it could hide a box or a hidden gem, it's best to check. How on earth was i meant to find the hidden gem on the first level? At least now i know what to look for. Move the camera around a lot, and check every corner.

This level is Hell I keep looking up the level on CZcams finding all the boxes and I still missing some how the hell is it possible getting 100% I been taking it easy by going slow on this level
I watched this and still missed one as well- I think it’s a tnt crate in the bonus level. Don’t assume it will destroy others. Make sure you watch each explode before moving on.

I'm still missing one I've got the two tyre ones and the hidden one above the metal barrel near the start im at 113 after the bonus level and still end up being one short its doing my head in I've got the crystal too

I was watching this video to see wich crates I missed and then realizing that instead of just missing the 2 crates from the damn tires like everyone else I also missed the whole left section at 4:55 😂 I'm positive I'll never 100% this game
I think I found a glitch possibly, the 2nd tire that you get a box from, I had to go back and get it again (I worked backwards at the end of the level to see if I could spot the missing box) let me know if thus solves it for anyone else

Press and hold jump to hit the top box and get a higher jump, at the the height of the jump press jump again and you'll make it to the gem. It takes, frustratingly, long but it is doable.
Hey can you get all the gems in more than ine run, like a run for mo death, run for all the boxes, run for hidden gem, etc?

Even after getting the 2 crates in the tires, I'm STILL missing one! I've followed this walkthrough/guide at least 50 000 times by now, why am I constantly at 88/89 boxes when this guy's at 90?

Look at the 1:20 mark and you'll see him jump of a barrel and get a hidden box.
Did you get the box near the end just next to the two phasing iron blocks in the part where you need to slide to get under?
There is a box under the last rail before the bonus
@@joshuasmith35 I thank The Lab Bonus Round and Cold Hard Crash Bonus Round for that trick. They were the notable Ones that gave me grief. The Lab is more trickier and Very Deceiving. I can tell They took a lot of Notes from CB1 the Hardest of The 2 combined. Those Flashback Tapes are no joke and remind me of Those dreaded N. Brio and Cortex Bonus Rounds.

I'm going to say a few things that may or may not be controversial depending on how you feel. As someone that hasn't played Crash Bandicoot games before and doesn't know how the majority of fans feel about it, boxes shouldn't be hidden. At all. They should be strewn along the path and obtaining them obvious but challenging. Bouncing on them over gaps, smashing them all before a thing chasing you catches up, etc. Stuffing them in tires or putting them off-screen and barely reachable (I seriously did NOT know I could bounce on top of the pyramid of boxes to hit that one in the air, and I had no idea you could make the jump to the last two next to the hidden gem) is just bad.
Second, I despise how the game puts them in the alternate timeline/stasis, whatever you want to call it. Switching between two states to hit all the boxes at the start of the level is SO FRIGGING TEDIOUS. Yes, it shows you the mechanic. So does the damn bridge two feet ahead, and the box on top of the little landmass shows you that the boxes can change too, and the Aku Aku mask on the one platform shows that they can be on different planes as well. The boxes just laying on the ground where you have to switch back and forth just SUCKS. Same with a lot of the bouncing crates for the fruits.
I 100%'d the first two levels and it took a while. Like, maybe an hour total, and I thought, "Well, I'm still getting used to the game. It's probably expected I miss a few things until I get used to it." This level? This level sucks. Period. Flat out. Even without the two crates in tires, which is DEFINITELY THE MOST EGREGIOUS THING, I'd say this level is just bad. It's just bad. The grinding feels weirdly delayed, the boxes hidden slightly off-screen is stupid, and the switching thing feels really, really clunky for collectibles. Don't get me wrong on the power-up, it feels good using it for platforming. I liked the bonus stage after the TNT boxes and before the two bouncing ones. That bit where you can bounce from one crate to the next without stopping, just switching between the two states, it's so SMOOTH, and I can see the challenge it would present later. And then you die because you bounce off the top crate and clip into the bottom bouncy one and it explodes and you fall to your death and just sit there like, why are they so close together?!
I had heard the nightmares some people saw in completing this game, and after the first two levels, even doing a time trial run to see how hard that would be, I was thinking, "Maybe..." After this? Naw. I'm just going to beat the game and chuck it.

The funny thing, there’s the one next to where the bonus platform is and there is one UNDERNEATH the bonus platform. So when you finish the bonus level, the platform moves from the one tire to another, so then you dan pick up the second box in the tires on the right
I have the tire gens, I have the last box on the grind, I have the one above the barrel and the 3 at the end on the roofs but I’m still missing one???

Try holding the jump button down when you land on a box, then double jump. It helps Crash/Coco jump higher

I wish the game was better.. completing this game is worst thing a gamer can put himself through. The good part of the game is only a few hours long.. and thats the casually playing through it part. It controls and plays so well at the core, yet the extreme padding when you wanna try and complete it ruins the entire thing. This is the only level I wanna complete. Just for the skin.
