Sometimes I just come home from a long day and i dont really feel like playing against real people so i boot up a 5cp server with bots and grab my killstreak weapon and pretend i am a god at tf2
My (the editor guy Maven (famous)) first like 100ish hours in tf2 were against bots because my Internet at the time was too inconsistent to play online. I have so many extremely fond memories of playing against them.

I developed bad social anxiety and even playing multiplayer games with randoms makes me extremely nervous. So whenever i do play game thats mostly multiplayer its always with bots because i just want to take it easy and not stress out and have some fun in a fps. Sk seeing this video makes me want to try tf2 some more and play

I've had satellite internet for the past 4.5 years, and online gaming has been off the table because of this. Sometimes, I try to see how far I can get completely solo in MvM, and, so far, my record is beating wave 4 of mvm_coaltown. I'll have to take a look at this bot improvement mod!
Can't wait for your channel to blow up, this is quality stuff. I'm surprised it didn't happen yet, amazing job.
Ive been wanting to try that bot overhaul mod for a while now maybe this is a sign for me to finally try it out

Not only all that, but if you feel inspired you can actually try to build your own map with Hammer Editor, and no matter how it will come out in result - you will always have 24 players on it whenever you want - just either make nav meshes for bots in hammer or just run TF2's "nav_generate" command in console and you will be good to go!
Plus, you will be able to modify game files as much as you want, any client-side mods that are normally forbidden in casual or some community servers will work just fine. Weapon reskins, sounds, even sone scripts are changable if you know how. And Field for experiments is huge.
And finally, you will be able to mess with console commands in the game, doing qhatever you are. And with 100 players being available on servers after recent updates - that can be interesting experience.
I had some times where i had no wifi or too crappy wifi to play online, and even basic TF2 bots were a big relief if i wanted to just play for some time, so don't underestimate them!
i know this is kind of a joke video but, as someone who has poor wifi and can never play online, i am grateful for this
I (Maven (famous)) spent my first 100ish hours in tf2 offline because my wi-fi was too bad to do much else so I definitely understand. I did make lots of jokes but I don't consider any of the things I talk about to be themselves jokes. Definitely hit up the bot improvement mod and have a great time.

If you liked the Demoman mission of destroying sentries, you will love the Engineer Fortress servers. It's basically humans (attack) vs. an entire team of Engineer bots (defense) that rapidly builds buildings and Sentries, they also respawn really quickly (instantly on harder difficulties). It's a lot of fun, and Demoman is probably Top Tier.
Soldier, Spy and even Engineer are good picks as well.

I have only had a short period of time when I had internet after moving out from my parents. I have phone data, but I haven't had internet for about 3 years now.
I still have my computer with a ton of games I don't really play, but sometimes I like to fire up tf2 and try a few of the jump maps I downloaded in the past.
Maybe I'll take my computer somewhere and download some of this stuff? Honestly I love ya for making this video❤️ this is something I didn't know I needed to see, and you put a spotlight on it for me and others like me.

Yeah, i noticed how bots were actually not bad in TF2 and sometimes i was just feeling to play with them instead of real people. Not just to feel like a God, but because of toxicity, horrible matchmaking where you're forced to be a hero in the team to move it's ass for an inch. Or there's just that one Sniper main with 3000 hours in CS:GO, sitting in the enemy team.
While bots, despite being dumb, they're changeable. Even taunts on killing player can be disabled if you're that soft. While also being able to play good maps without that one mf saying you that it's bad.
I really wished for Valve to remake a 2Fort and CTF gamemode in general, since it's attracting Casual players a lot, but doesn't teaches them much. Just like Uncle Dane himself said, 2Fort is a horrible map. In every aspect, even if it's iconic.
But with bots, i can play "2Fort Revamped" map without Ping issues. Plus Bots can be set to Higher Difficulty AI, so if your team still sucks, you'll be able to change it in a couple of clicks.
And about Bots Overhaul, I've tried this mod before, but whenever i try playing that "Story Mode" my game was crashing and i just threw the mod away.

i mostly play offline now because kicking bots every 60 seconds is annoying
i love to play offline so i can play halloween maps without waiting 11 months, i play offline alot of the time
I spent a good portion of my early time playing entirely offline with bots because my wi-fi was REALLY bad. Even now I still spend more time than most playing against bots.

Do you have any kz map/server recommendations? Seems interesting, but I haven't really looked for any besides that one b4nny map.
There are definitely SIGNIFICALLY more qualified people to answer this but I'll give my go.
kz_dust_a2_stuckspotsfix - my personal favorite
kz_height_a5_stuckspotfix - the one shown in the video
kz_tf2 - a short but fun map that I used to play when waiting for my team to show up to scrims
kz_h2kb_a2_fix - an actual genuine hellscape of death... Definitely the hardest on the list... Highly recommend

i'm seeing enough bots and bot brained baddies as is in casual, don't wanna deal with them offline as well tbh. I'm just hella sad no community server hosts the maps i like. Only 2Fort, Hightower, Turbine and maybe Dustbowl. wowie... And trade servers is just sniper infested, good luck playing anything but trolldier there.
