    Glenn Schofield was 1 of 12 co creators of Dead Space. As far as i could find, he had more of producer role and not a creative one.
    It's like watching a movie trailer and it says "From the producers of X movie"
    Who cares about that. The creative director, scenario director, writers, level and monster designers etc. are the more important things. We can see where the talent WASN'T when it comes to those 12 co creators.

    IMO, Sony should consider acquiring Striking Distance. The reason I say Sony specifically is that their engineers helped work on Callisto near the End of its development cycle resulting in the PS5 version being the best at launch. Sony also has a history of taking smaller studios and turning them into very successful developers such as Insomniac.

      I was hoping they were gonna be kicking off the action-horror winning streak when it came to them, Dead Space, RE4, and Alan Wake 2. Unfortunately, that didn't happen and it seems like the devs are gonna be the ones paying for it if it gets any worse.

    The whole affair was a Titanic scenario. Captain Schofield is the reason the game plunged to the sea floor. Pretty disgraceful. Oh, I still have achievements that never unlocked as well. Nice!

    this is very disappointing.... Callisto was a bit too ambitious, but there was still a lot of potential for the world building and correcting mistakes in a sequel. Fingers crossed the developers still have support to try again.

    I don't know why people expected the guy behind the shitty cod games could do horror or subtelty, I knew it was doa ever since he was in creative control.

    Gameplay is not great. The focus on the melee weapon was a huge mistake nobody asked for a melee swing at zombies game with a shitty dodge process .

    I just played through Callisto Protocol and i gotta say i LOVED it! but it's been almost a year since it was dropped and it was free for me. If the game was released at the state it's at now and only charged 40-50 New not 70 bucks i'm sure it would have reallly done well... It's too short for a full 70 dollar price tag but the updates to the gameplay has payed off i LOVED my playthrough .. the credits are rolling as i'm texting this

    I feel bad for the Development studio and all its employees, but they made so many terrible design choices with the Callisto Protocol. The game had so much potential but it was ruined by terrible game design choices. Putting so much emphasis on melee combat, no NG+ mode at launch, lacking story & lore, ending on a blatant cliffhanger, repetitive environments & enemies & bosses, lame final boss design, and I could go on & on. I wanted to like the game but the terrible design choices just rendered the game NOT enjoyable for me.

    It sucks, but like, when people were wanting a successor to Dead Space they wanted another good spooky horror survival game in space, what we got is...not that, and because of that a lot of the people that were invested are like "Fuck this." and the ones that enjoy it aren't really a huge number, so balance this along with the office issues and you got a bunch of people doing crunch shifts and you got a company of employees working way harder then they should be for probably not a lot of profit, which means no paychecks hardly.
    Would they have done better with a full on horror successor? Who knows? But it might have done some good.

      Didn't help that Signalis, the other notable sci fi horror game that came out last year did a better job of executing it's concept and because of that,had good word of mouth to benefit from.

    They spent way too much money trying to make it as beautiful as possible, hiring big name actors and all. But forgot video games are about the gameplay, and story, both of which absent in the game.

    The Whole 'Crunch Culture' thing is a joke. No one is forced to do the job, if they don't like what the job entails, they may quit. Sometimes, and due mostly to human nature, humans don't all function at the exact same level or with the same work ethic. So sometimes, deadlines are missed, or the need to put in extra hours occurs, if it isn't constant, and if you have a job contract that promises you'll never have to work longer than you wish, then you're good, otherwise its okay to 'crunch', depends on the environment. Some of humanities greatest achievements are done under great stress and pressure. Not everything always goes according to how 'YOU' want. The world doesn't revolve around any one person... If your job is abusing your time and violating you're employment contract, quit or take them to court...That happens in every field.

      What most people don't understand is that most jobs have crunch time. Truck drivers drive long hours all week long, doctors work long hours all week long, manufacture workers work long hours all week long, farm workers work long hours all week long, and I could go on & on. But its only a problem when it comes to videogames. Make it make sense?

    I'm so mad. And nobody talking about this game anymore. Whenever i go look for TCP on CZcams or internet, i get page full of piss-poor hatin reviews. Can't even enjoy the things we love anymore. I loved the game and wish it could have a sequel. If only reviews and players didn't behave so shitty to this game. We could have had a continuation of the events of TCP planned down the road, and i could have got more music and atmosphere out of that newly born universe. SHAME. Makes me hate everyone even more.

      Here's the thing - TCP was visually spectacular, but mechanically it was below average, thats where the issues stem from. I was beyond stoked for TCP, bought the ultra super version of the game, got about half-way thru the game and just got fed up with how repetive it was and how much it relied on bad melee

    The studio that put out a beautiful albeit extremely extremely boring fucking game? I refunded it in 10minutes because on PC it was so poorly optimized that it had stuttering and hitches the day one game? Yeah i dont care.
