Does anyone else get SO SO excited when they get a biker wave? I'll be riding, probably being ticked off about one minor inconvenience or another, and my day is instantly better after waving to a fellow motorcyclist

I remember being waved at the first time I was too afraid to let go of the handlebar to wave back so I gave them a head nod😂
I did the same. I think it's the "fresh noob" response to the biker wave. Also, I felt super tall on my first bike (ktm1190 adv) and was scared to lean because I thought my upper body would cross the center line of the road lol.

Haha I always give a little rev when I go past the kids walking to and from the school I live by. They always love it.
I got my 1st nod here in Ireland from a guy on a Triumph 765 as I took my Triumph Trident onto a fast road for the 1st time. Made me feel part of the gang.
I still remember my 1st.. naturally my dad had taught the meaning when I got my license and my very own 125cc Yamaha DT as my first ride.. actually what I did on my 1st 2 days, I ripped the maps out of the phonebook and decided to drive every street in my hometown^^
Yep.. thats how it was done back then^^
But after clearing one section of town.. I got on the main road and then a Yamaha FZR1000 driver gave me a greeting.. really made my day :)
finger guns to the gas tank lid is also a good way to signal that you need gas if youre driving side by side

I pass a lot of Dyna bros daily on my commute here in NorCal on one of my Triumphs or Buell and they never wave so I stick my left foot out just to Fk with them....

I give regular waves to excited kids on bicycles because they don't know the biker one. But not adult cyclists because they are a menace to society that needs to be purged from existence.

Motorbike wave or nod only happens with guys in the weekend here the people who use their bike to get work wont even wave if they have the clutch hand on the tank im trying to change that wave or nod at every bike here in NZ my head was getting sore from nodding the other weekend to many people out enjoying the ride🏍🏍😂

For your next video, it would be so helpful if you could discuss LEDs on helmets or under glows on motorcycles. I would love to know what colors are legal and if I’m able to do “rainbow” LED lights. I am sure other people would find a video like this helpful as well.

There really should be a universal set of signals taught when you take your test, they really can save lives..

I haven't seen that bikerwave before, in Sweden it's usually just a wave. I haven't ever gotten waved at by a "real" biker (as I drive a scooter, the most I've gotten is a cross moped driver giving me the finger for no reason). I HAVE however had kids wave and scream-ask me for a rev...
.. and that's when the reality of my 19 year old, dodgily maintained Yamaha Aerox 50cc from '04 kicked in, and I gave them the *weakest* rev (i tried, though!). Sorry, kids.

I agree to a degree. Never put yourself in danger in any circumstances. At the end of the day, you're already predicting any other threats on the road.

Hand gestures which duplicate the signaling devices (brake & turn signals) are unwarranted and diminish safety during a group ride because they take longer to effect and be interpreted.
