Rest in peace, Diana Rigg. To a girl growing up in the 60s you were the first kickass woman who could handle her own business and that of other people, too. Maybe the guys out there wanted to know Emma Peel, but plenty of girls wanted to BE her.
My favorite TV theme .. I came to this page after seeing Diana Rigg's acting credit on Game Of Thrones.. Her in that leather cat suit was a stunner.. No wonder dad never seemed to miss an episode.
Just heard the news today about Diana Rigg's passing....as a child in the 60's loved the show Avengers even though I didn't always understand what was going on....I especially love that theme song.....Mrs. Peel was beautiful, Rest In Peace Diana 😔
As if graduating weren't, in itself, cause for great celebration, but when your Uni's chancellor is your all-time favourite role-model, Emma Peel, and she has your degree in her hand,how else should a girl feel other than high as a kite?! 🏴❤
I LOVE THIS SONG....it brings me back.....couldnt wait to watch what Emma was going to get herself into next! I think I was around 8 when i fell in love with her,,,wanted to be just like her and even signed EMMA on my school tests ,,,,,yeah i know that sounds pretty strange but i never identified myself as being stable!!! Anyway the tune is amazing and the production on all of these action shows are great.
my opinion, the best theme music of any t.v. production, with that deep deep double beat bass, like a heart beat... combined with these classic b/w stills of Patrick and Diana makes this absolutely unforgettable and that this program at its height in the late 60's early 70's still resonates with many many people fortunate to be old enough to have seen this weekly, when it was first broadcast, is truly a time treasure for us all, who 'were there'.... Diana, you were Amazing.. and that you had a designer/supplier not only for your wardrobe for also just for your shoes, well....
