I am the honest vocal coach! I have been teaching for 15 years and been singing since I was 16. I teach from my own studio and also teach and mentor via email, and online via Live & Skype. I specialise in teaching children, and teenagers pop and musical theatre but I am trained in all genres of music. I have studied every voice technique there is, including Speech Level Singing, Estill, Bel Canto, Robert Lunte, London College of Music, ABRSM, Ria Keen, Kim Chandler, Stevie Van Lange and many more. I have been around!
In 2008 I wrote the Vocaltutor Guide, 21 set lessons for singing teachers to get started, learning to teach, and produced 3 vocal exercise CD/Downloads.

Ok, I get it, the bum note is the big thing that went wrong (RIP Sarah, love her forever), but Cheryl saying the name of the song before the performance and Nadine being in her own world for the whole performance are so great.

The pre-interview with the Girls is just as iconic as Sarah’s notes throughout.

And Nadine’s exasperated, ‘Nuht. Ouhn. Bid of yah. Looks. Leyk. Ay Hayg. Fee-oh-nahh’ to the host.
Then comes the song itself & where do we begin? From Nadine off on another planet the whole time to Cheryl trying to get Kim’s attention with a side eye, to Kim herself refusing to break the ‘sultry/swoony’ character & Nicola looking absolutely DONE during their duet in the middle section 😂
Then comes Sarah’s bum note & Cheryl’s face straight after. You can see Sarah wanting to disappear into the floor. Poor Cheryl copped an earful the whole performance & looks like she’s about to burst out laughing the whole time.
Plus there’s a small blink-and/you’ll-miss-it part right toward the end (shortly after the bum note) when Sarah goes for another high note in the final chorus & Nadine turns around and you can see her desperately trying not to lose it & start laughing. So damn iconic. This has to be their greatest performance.
And of course, the male host at the end saying something like, Girls Aloud singing live there’ and Sarah responding ‘you can tell’ 😂 oooft. So funny.

GA is one of my favorite girlbands but Sarah is kinda strange.I think she was always trying to stand out about Nadine, but Nadine's voice is natural.

It’s so crazy that this group was huge and Great Britain and unheard of in the United States. Britain is a bit of a bubble when it comes to music.
Not many British bands are able to fully crack the American market, takes a lot of work and planning. I think the only girl band of ours to break into America was the Spice Girls.

The sustain note Sarah did was awful it was so flat. Also Why was Nadines solo section cut out. I love her voice!
Nadine was the only singer in the group. Her solo stuff is pretty decent!
Disagree, Nicola has a fantastic voice, she won the Masked Singer last year. She was always overlooked because her tone is very light and gets overpowered by Nadine. But she was just as technically capable.

It looks like Sarah was messing with something behind her back as she was going for the note that was all over the place, i wonder if her in ears stopped working and she couldn’t hear or something and she was trying to adjust the volume on her receiver? She normally sounds ok :-)
Paul Jonah that is why singers have to learn not to rely on hearing. Feeds can always go wrong. Singers gotta be able to rely on self perception
@@doeb23 Uhh, that's not how singing works. A room full of people yelling and the music blasting means it's impossible to know what you sound like. 'Perception' means nothing if you can't hear yourself.

Awesome video as usual! I really think you should take a look at a video by Jessica Simpson. It’s her singing I wanna love you forever and it’s I believe at the Latin Grammys in 2000. I believe she had like pneumonia or something like that and she does pretty great until the end. I would love to see your opinion on it. I was so happy you did the my immortal video by evanescence because I had also suggested that video and I really think you would enjoy the Jessica Simpson one as well!!!

It really annoys me when people assume you're jealous of Cheryl when you say she can't sing.
She is a talented dancer but her voice is average and she can't sing overly well.
I think her appearance definitely got her where she is now. No jealously about it, just the hard truth whether her fans want to hear it or not!
