I am the honest vocal coach! I have been teaching for 15 years and been singing since I was 16. I teach from my own studio and also teach and mentor via email, and online via Live & Skype. I specialise in teaching children, and teenagers pop and musical theatre but I am trained in all genres of music. I have studied every voice technique there is, including Speech Level Singing, Estill, Bel Canto, Robert Lunte, London College of Music, ABRSM, Ria Keen, Kim Chandler, Stevie Van Lange and many more. I have been around!
In 2008 I wrote the Vocaltutor Guide, 21 set lessons for singing teachers to get started, learning to teach, and produced 3 vocal exercise CD/Downloads.

Nicola has SUCH good vocal runs and is such a good harmoniser. She's so underrated, her album was SO good!!!

Except Beat of My Drum, that was terrible
for me she has a weird tone that I don't like but she's definitely a good singer though.
Personally think she over pushed her vibrato towards then end of GA and in her solo stuff, which is a bad technique.
Sarah's final run of notes sends chills up and down my back/arms/neck. SO amazing!!! Follow the leader, indeed!
Nicola's harmonies on this performance are incredible! I think she was the vocal dark horse of the group when they started out, she's so incredible now
Nicola really has been the most consistent through her career, and is my favorite by far. She is seriously underestimated in the industry.

Nadine has always been the best I love her and she was the only one I voted for to get into the band, but Nicola is brilliant she was awesome on The Masked Singer.
Nadine is the best no competition, that's why she sang lead vocal on almost every girls aloud song. She doesn't get nowhere near enough the credit she deserves
Problem is she was the least likable in personality...
Alexander, wrong. The 3 stooges were just cliquey and sucked up to the right people and Sarah was the fun one but had a toxic personality. Nadine was just a lovely and down to earth girl who was drowned out by louder and not very pleasant personalities and didn't have that 'step over your grandma's corpse to get where you want' attitude.
@@emmamcm3886 its show business hon, you work for the money, and Nadine attitude was actually bad. at the end of the day best singer or not they were a GROUP.
Her attitude wasn’t bad
People always said Nadine and Cheryl had the worst attitudes of the group, it’s just she was smart enough to not do it in camera like Cheryl. She admitted to boycotting promo and photo shoots if their record label didn’t make The Promise the lead single back in the day. The group was trying to negotiate terms and she pulled that stunt without them knowing. That being said she has the talent and vocals to have a little bit of ego not like Cheryl. Obviously the girls aren’t going to give details but I remember watching a show with Nicola and she was saying you give up a lot being in a girl group and she always made compromises to help the peace and move things along. Kimberly also said their management never tried to mediate things, they just let them sort themselves out on their own as well.
Nicola is incredible! Her album was so underated.

All of them always made it clear Nadine was the lead singer. Cheryl even wrote in her autobiography that Nadine would go into the studio, record the demo for the songs and then they would figure out which girl would sing which part around Nadine’s lines. My favorite voice in the group is Nicola though, I absolutely love how soft her voice is. I don’t think any of them are bad, they were a girl group singing pop music and dancing they’re arses off, and it was entertaining as hell, thank God for Girls Aloud 💕 by the way I love your videos and how you’re posting more and more, you seem so nice and a dream to be friends with. Keep up the incredible work, kisses from Brazil 😘
and I agree 100% with both lists, Cheryl is favorite member but her things was always dancing, i’m glad they all get to focus on what they love individually now

Shockingly good beginning. Nicola's voice is of an Angel. She was the rock of harmonies in GA. Nadine and Sarah - super voices. Chim always bringing up the rear.

Its so rare you have a UK girlband where they have so many powerhouse singers, the fact that the group had not 1 but 3 members that had the vocal ability of Nicola, Nadine & Sarah says it all. That's not to dismiss Cheryl and Kimberley's voice because they also offered their own unique style to the group

please rewatch a more recent Nadine video, especially her "Go To Work" promo performances. She's stopped smoking due to her pregnancy and her voice has therefore improved significantly.

Completely agree. Nadine used to be the strongest but in recent years Nicola found her voice & definitely has a stronger voice, especially if you compare her most recent performance to Nadine's. (Both are still great tho) loved this series :) ❤

I loved this. Nicola is definitely the best in this performance but I always feel like Nadine was the most vocally talented, her album Insatiable was really good but Nicola has definitely come a long way

I know Nadine and Cheryl hate each other, but their voices really work well together.
They all sound pretty good here but I do think that Nadine had her work cut out during Girls Aloud 😂😂 She was the only strong singer really, in most girl bands there’s usually 2/3 stronger singers to carry the group. Kimberley and Cheryl aren’t particularly strong singers, Sarah was off her face most of the time so did well to even make it on stage and Nicola has a beautiful voice but it’s fairly quiet and doesn’t have the same umphh to carry the lead vocal. It’s great to see how she’s improved. Nadine had the most umphh and power to her voice, she has a twang that gives her a real edge, to me she’ll always be the strongest
hahaha bless Sarah. She actually was really good when she was good and not off her face. Like when she gets it right, she got lead singer potential because she had ooomph. Nadine carried the group for most of their career for sure. Cheryl got easy talky bits alot cuz she's pretty and popular. Kimberley was usually just a backing singer.
Nadine voice is very powerful and nicola has a really great voice.
Now watching this you can clearly hear how Nicola’s voice is so clearly heard during the chorus. And not just this a lot of their songs Nicola’s voice is mostly heard but I always thought it was Nadine

Girls Aloud are my all-time favourite girl band too. Their songs were in a totally different league to most other groups, thanks to the brilliant Xenomania songwriting/production team (who also wrote for Sugababes - please feature them!) Nicola Roberts is by far my favourite GA singer. Can't wait for her new album! :)

Agree with the updated order...!! Kimberley was weakest and Nicola was the best. Nadine does have a great voice though.
Sarah A Nadine can’t sing a harmony line if her life depended on it.
Sarah & Nicola have had to carry the harmony parts their entire run.
Sarah’s technique is worse than others. I like her but her vocal performances mostly depended on yelling to hit the high notes and very unstable . Her ep Threads showed her this problems very obviously. And also her performance on pride was so disappointing, as well as Ghost.
