    I’ll say it again, FNL had awesome actors. Connie Britton was one of them. And don’t get me started on Kyle Chandler. Top Ten series of all time.

    It’s amazing how Tammi tears up when Eric is talking about how marriage requires compromise. For context, the Taylors have moved around for 18 years all because of Eric’s job, and now Tammi has an opportunity to move the family to Philadelphia to become the Dean of Admissions at a college up there. Eric is resisting, but Tammi keeps bringing up the fact that they have moved around for 18 years for Eric’s job, and she sees a future for them in Philly. In the end, Matt and Julie are married in Chicago and Tammi and Eric move to Philly together.

      @@alphanerd7221 True, the reality of life is love is bullshit and only people care about money. That's why marriage is a waste for any man to go through with esp. in modern times. Women will not stick by a man for love because love is not real. It's imagination of something you enjoy you don't want to lose. That's all it is. Maybe you love your sibblings or parents cause of the tight bont you have with them but actually love another person for who they are...esp. Americans who are selfish and materialistic more than most people it's a waste. It's better for an American man today to remain single and enjoy his money or date overseas. Because even if you make the good money the women flocking to you are in love with what you can provide for them not you.

      @lauraschoenborn3544 Před rokem +7

      The thing is that I don’t think Matt ever was her safety net. She ran to Chicago, yes. But her heart was always with Matt. She looked really sad when she mentioned his name to Derek, which hinted maybe Derek was a rebound. And she looked way more mature and calmer when she came home from College for Christmas. I think the whole thing with Derek was what helped her get her stuff together. Because it forced her to take responsibility when he showed up at her doorstep.

      not by this point, Matt directly called Julie out on it and basically ensured she can reflect and know she truly loves him for who he is and wants to be with him. By the end, they are communicating way better than they did in prior seasons which shows it's a healthy relationship

    • @burritogamer3984
      @burritogamer3984 Před 14 dny

      @@lauraschoenborn3544 yes exactly. also remember, Julie also took a chance going to chicago she had no idea what to expect when she got there. Matt could have been dating someone else for all she knew. and when she mentions Matt to Derek, she 100% downplays what he means to her (just some guy in chicago) but we as the viewer know how deep their relationship went. I think Julie's thing with the TA was very much a result of her entering the adult world for the first time , being naive but thinking she could be in control, enjoying the feeling of being "mature" but she was pretty clearly manipulated. not empowered but demeaned. Matt is the one she has always loved in a true sense and a lot of her actions feel like a result of certain self-doubt and anxieties about life that she doesn't want to directly confront. of course also, Matt did mess up before too in impacting their trust, like him suddenly ghosting when he went to Chicago which he could have handled so much better with simple communication. so they both had their periods of having to grow up and be ready for a truly committed relationship.
