Starting a Honda GX160 Engine

Welcome back to our AIE tutorial series to help you get to know your Honda GX 160. Today we are going to be learning to start the Honda GX160UT2QX2. Before starting your engine, check your fuel, oil level, and filter to ensure the engine is ready to use. All honda engines use 87 octane and above gasoline.
First, confirm that the on/off switch on the side of the engine is set to the on position. The black fuel valve should be slide all the way to the right which is set to the on position, and shut the choke by sliding the grey choke lever all the way to the left.
Before starting, make sure the throttle lever is slid to the right towards the turtle icon.
Pull the recoil handle, which will start the engine. While the engine is running in the idle position, slide the grey choke lever to the right to turn off the choke.
Once the engine is running, you may increase the RPM as needed by sliding the throttle to the left.
To turn the engine off, set the throttle back to the right starting position, and set the on/off switch to off.

The noise level is really only noticeable when running the AC and other appliances like the microwave, hair dryer, or coffee pot. It’s not huge like other ones and it has wheels so even at 90lbs, I can move it!

I've used this sprayer several times now on brick pavers, a wood deck, patio, and a driveway. czcams.com/users/postUgkx43QMbQqu67IZadu9ou8Sg1BdrunMRNqX It has performed as expected on all surfaces. For larger areas like the decks and patios, I think I will be looking into a surface cleaner attachment to speed up the job, or at least make it a little easier. Hose and sprayer connections are tool-less, tight, and quick. I used the yellow nozzle on the concrete/brick surfaces, and the pressure was adequate for cleaning those surfaces.I am disappointed that these units are still being shipped with a nozzle storage holder that allows them to vibrate out of the holder way too easily and become lost, but I don't want to knock off a star for that reason. The functional part of the washer works very well, so I would recommend this product.

About 2-4 years, you can use a lighter or a blowtorch to burn the carbon off and save some money while getting good performance

We would recommend blowing compressed air through it from the inside out.
Don’t know if this comment will ever be answered but for some reason this engine on my little buggy has The throttle permanently wide-open and I don’t know how to fix it so if anyone ever does sees this help me plz
Two things could be wrong. The governor inside the engine could be burnt and it’ll run wide-open all the time or your throttle lever is locked in the full wide-open position and needs to be adjusted. Hope that helps!

My go kart stopped like 8 times I didn’t know which one was the choke. I also didn’t realize I turned the gas on and off like 10 times because I though ON -> meant choke on. Lol okay now I know

idk why I watched this vid, but I'm honestly shocked at the number of comments saying how great this video is. I thought these small Honda engines were pretty stupid proof, but I guess not lol.
You forgot to mention that to stop you have to
1. switch off the electrical switch (mentioned here)
2. slide off the fuel valve (forgotten here)

Don’t waste your time or money on this I just wasted all day cleaning the carb and fixing to throttle get a
Predator motor unless you use this engine every day I have this in my go kart trying to get it started and stay started is a bi+€# you can buy 5 or 6 predators motors for one of these ,Honda makes great cars but small motors 🤮 Briggs and Stratton are better !
