luka has a play style like lebron but his numbers are better at this point in his career. luka will surpass lebron in triple doubles by his 9th season. lebron doesn't make circus shots and full court alley hoops. luka has more in his bag offensively than anyone to ever play the game. a 60 point triple double and a 73 point master class has already surpassed anything lebron has done in a single game. his defense is getting better every game and he's surrounded by a team that have low post and deep threats which only opens his game up even more. so comparing carmelo to luka isn't fair to melo. they aren't in the same stratosphere. however iverson and kyrie is a fair comparison although iverson will be the first to tell u kyrie is better.
