- Ah yes, making a video about a vehicle released last patch right before a new patch. I wanted to make this video for a while, but life got in the way. Anyway, something something Tornado IDS 10.7 event vehicle something something plane.
Oh yeah lol it has ASM, I just completely ignored those in the video.

It is, at least the event one, 2 Aim 9L's are good, combined with good speed + bombs this is a viable plane, the techtree variant not so much

my love for tornado was reason enough to get it by grinding harder than ever before... the fact that it isnt that good against other jets other than the fact it has 2 AIM-9L my love for tornado will always be the thing that drives me to try harder... loved the vid btw

To be fair with the Tornado IDS (interdiction, strike) it was desinged for one job and only that job: fly behind enemy lines->strike infrstruckture->gtfo, no mater the weather and time in a "one pass haul ass" type of attack (same as AJ37 Viggen)
I am shocked but not surprised that they would OFFICIALLY say that there would be no premium vehicles for top tier. All WT cares about is money and if they didn’t want to people to buy their way to the top they would not only have to keep no top tier premiums, but also remove convertible research points and remove GE entirely. Since you can literally just use GE to research vehicles and use more GE to spade vehicles.

The playerbase makes this claim all the time. That statement was made 6 years ago, almost 7. That's nearly a decade. The game has changed an INCREDIBLE amount in a decade. Change. Happens. THE GAME. WILL. CHANGE. Could you imagine if Gaijin stuck by their word and we were still only playing WW2 and Cold War vehicles in War Thunder? You would be the same person shouting from the rooftops that "Its been 10 years and we are still in Tigers! Where are our Abrams? Our Leclercs?!"
Games - ESPECIALLY Live service and F2P games - CHANGE. They EVOLVE. They PROGRESS. Yes, Gaijin officially said they won't add premium jets. Guess what? Gaijin also has the power to change their FUCKING MIND. Good LORD it's always an echo chamber about how Gaijin is this spawn of satan and doesn't care about the player base. Christ you people are so toxic and have such an incredible amount of entitlement for a FREE TO PLAY GAME.
Rank 5 was top top tier at that time, migs, and sabers. Gaijin didn't want anyone buying directly to the top but tier 4 3 2 1 premiums are technically fine.

Well game is free so they have to make money. and gaijin does put good effort, they make big updates every few months. And they also do special events all year and listen to the community.
Well it will get soemwhat better soon as Gaijin will re-enable the Radar of the ISD to lock ground targets again
Apparently it won't be able to lock onto player vehicles, so I doubt it will change much.

I get it's not naval (marinefliger) and we suck off russian anti air ("to small to see on radar")("No ARM's")but common there is evidence of tonado ids carrying the exact armorment needed to suplement for this aircraft shitty airframe and performance.
The IDS is literally the only jet I’m VERY positive in. I KNOW it’s bad, but I think because I know that, I play differently.

Example several Tornados in your Team and each of them can kill 2 Bases alone. How is anyone else even getting something then? xD

@@f18gamerboy i do that as well depending on map and jet but not some jets already get enough speed penalties even for a small loadout that can't finish off a base.
And some can only kill a base using napalm. But rewards for using napalm are a joke even using a smaller bomb load generates more rewards and napalm can still get your base stolen when you dropped them first
Even with all the shortcomings it has. I still absolutely love playing it

It's not the best Jet. But you get instantly with no grind one of the best rockets. All Aspect better than R60s. Fast flying brick that can hurt. Fly it like unburned brick and your fine.
It's my first Hightierjet from the Germans and I'm researching the whole tech tree with it.

I actually have the IDS and I can’t complain, 1-2 bases and 2 kills every match is very good. In my experience I rarely get shot down.

This depends on your definition of the 'roof'. In my eyes any tier 8 = the top, regardless of BR.

Guilty as charged. In my defense I work 50+ hours a week and sometimes even 60+ hours. So, I do not have the time to invest to keep up with my friends. I also get 3 of same ranking as to not be a one death and leave wonder.

That isn't what I meme about. They literally said they didn't want people to buy their way to the top. Their definition buying your way to the top was being able to buy a vehicle of the highest tier.
You can now buy vehicles from the highest tier.

The F4F(early) doesn't have much going for it on the German line seeing ALL the so much better planes it faces and it not having Flares. But to each their own.
I meant the F-4F (Late), not the F-4F Early (as it's just called F-4F in game). The late does get flares.

@@psilocidebeats I think they are Italian tank decals? Just the yellow squares. There is one spot on the wingtips where they will mirror to both sides of the plane.

Dont forget that tornado has radar assisted! Guns. Lock onto a target with radar and the guns wil calculate where the shots will go. Very very useful for noobs like me to get some cheeky gun kills with a mediocre gun

WOW i have seens lots of Bots in Naval but the first time witnessing Bots in Air RB?
Is that the reason they crash at start all the time? xD
We always had Issues with Cheaters in Ground RB and SIM but Botting wasnt an Issue until Gaijin released Premium Ships for Naval like the USS Moffett and Helena, that have almost no Repair Costs and Such high Firerates that they almost always hit enough to come out of the Match without negative SL
Found already dozen off bots in air RB since I know what to look for. Them crashing at start or flying into nirvana after bombing are good indicators, they also use only premiums as other jets are too expensive and have horrible stats.
Sad that people are going to watch this video and be prisoned to his ideology. The IDS is great and the 11.3 version is even better. Its not a fighter and notevery plane in the game has to be.
I have one question: have you played the F-4F?
Problem is most fighters adapt to the bomber role better than the tornado and most other strike/bomber aircraft. I get my bases constantly stolen by phantoms and other fighters. Thank god the more frequent EC maps now give more opportunities for bombing and cas in air rb.

Mate the tornado is one of the most infuriating and fun aircraft I have ever played I grinded for the tornado assta1 with the su-22 and then grinded the tornado ids with the tornado assta1 I had the most fun in the tornado ids bombing 2 bases on 20m fuel and firing aim-9LS at side on f-5cs
how to fly attackers (half a joke):
step 1: imagine you are playing ground rb and commit side climbing.
step 2: fly to a bit bellow contrail altitude and make sure to be at least 17.5km away from any red dots on your screen.
step 3: once to the side of the bases turn and dive as fast as you can without wingripping, or use CCRP (cringe).
step 4: get da heck out of there and rearm, maybe get some ground or air kills if u can on the way.
step 5: repeat.
or just bomb toss i guess but no one knows how to CCRP.
