Not only that, but it accepts Finn's answer without hesitation or resistance. Like, so much media has Gods acting like choosing to become a God is the objectively right answer, but there isn't an objectively right answer to the question "What do you wanna become?"
Beacuse in itself reincarnation would have made his life meaningself it would only serve the purpose of nothing left of a shadow of a self, its not for him it wouldnt made him whole and he understood that so well now he knows whats worth it or not, finn has finally understood himself.
I just realized something! Finns first form on earth was a butterfly and in the episode Still when he was frozen by the Ice King he used his mind to summon and control butterflies! How did I not realize the connection until now?!?
What I find so mesmerizing about this scene is how humble (even if human traits probably don't work here) the cataclysm coment is. By any account it seems to be an immortal reality shaping living device (of sorts) beyond all mortal comprehension and yet it still entertains the thought that Finn could be its creator and yields without hestistation that Finn's mortal life isn't bad. Ironically this is how I would expect something truly beyond all mortal comprehension to act and yet I'm surprised because in so any other instances similar beings or sentient forces are haughty, conceited, stubborn, condescending, etc. The Cataclysm coment truly feels like something that has been everything good and evil. It just feels like something for change and choice and willingness to understand.
I mean it doesn’t even know where it came from. It’s asking how it even came to be a thing how it was conceptualized. It’s not even the one above all the one above all is GOLB.
So after 6 years have passed since I saw that 6th Season Finale episode of Adventure Time in the Summer of 2015, Finn had already decided throughout the beginning and end of that Adventure Time Distant Lands special: Together Again, that he already still wants to live another life to the fullest and has still chosen not to join the Catalyst Comet☄️ to wander across the beginnings and ends of the Multiverse🌎. I look back on this scene 6 years later now, and I wonder and ask myself if I would’ve like to have taken up on that comet’s offer too if I wanted to free my soul from the 18 material things that the catalyst comet has brought up that I know keep my soul from ever wanting to leave my body behind and accepting my discorparation at any age someday💫, and that Beautiful Planet Documentary Movie’s deforestation scene about Earth’s inevitable fate even makes me think about that one line Jason Griffith’s last role as Sonic once said in the ending cutscene of Sonic and the Black Knight too🦔🗡, we all know that deep down, every world has it’s end (and in my deep POV, Worlds themselves including our world are not immortal and immune to deaths and asteroid attacks either) we know that’s sad😢 but that’s why we gotta live our lives to the fullest🌻, at least that’s what Jason Griffith’s Sonic figured. And from what I figure: I believe that we should all live our lives to the fullest however we can, whether it be helping the Earth, helping the Human Race achieve Space Colonization, or just doing whatever it is that we all enjoy doing best at etc🎨🎥👷♀️👷♂️🥼 as the simplest way of living life to the fullest, and like Robin Williams once said as Andrew Martin at the end of Bicentennial Man🤖 as I ought to say it for myself too in a deeper way of course: I’d rather die a mortal man than live an immortal life through either transferring my mind into the body of a robot or a clone of my essential form/image in the real life future if Robots and Clones were to even become a reality someday or so👁.
Finally.
A godlike being that doesn't make Earth, humans, and mortality out to be the worst things in the universe.
Not only that, but it accepts Finn's answer without hesitation or resistance. Like, so much media has Gods acting like choosing to become a God is the objectively right answer, but there isn't an objectively right answer to the question "What do you wanna become?"
He was offered godhood prettymuch, freedom from his bounds and understanding of existence, and he understood this and said no.
Beacuse in itself reincarnation would have made his life meaningself it would only serve the purpose of nothing left of a shadow of a self, its not for him it wouldnt made him whole and he understood that so well now he knows whats worth it or not, finn has finally understood himself.
Smh

i come back to this scene even once in a while for some reason , its nice
Me too friend
I like how when Finn remembers you can hear him unlocking the memory from his vault, it's such a good little detail I love
Godlike cutoff at the end
If you listen closely before Finn answered you can hear his memory vault open
World’s most chill godlike being
Prismo:am i a joke to you?
Video games and ice cream waffles are essential to the existence of course
Neon genesis vibes
Is it surrealism?
