    I wish I watched this before buying two Sanus mounts. I needed two for an lg c3 65in and lg 55inch. For the price tag, $90 each, it was a pain and very specific to vesa pattern on the tv. I ended up returning both since lining up the holes with the tv, I wasn’t able to properly installed the stupid one little security screw that was the only way to keep the tv leveled. I just ended up going for two different mounting dream mounts. They’re straight to the point and very good being universal. Thanks for your guide!

    For my 65" Sony OLED TV, I went with a monoprice wall mount, the simple type with tilt adjustment. The model I chose had an extra wide about 34" wide mounting plate since a stud was right in the center where the mount would go and that allows it to mount with screws to studs on both sides and in the middle, studs 16" apart. That model sells for $20-30 so similar to others that have plates that aren't that wide.

    • @BTheInstaller
      @BTheInstaller  Před 10 měsíci +4

      Can be overkill. Some tvs are barely 34" wide. You can just off set the mount to catch 2 studs but I'm sure it worked out fine. People worry about it falling down, but you can mount most tvs on a single stud.

    Question: I have a decent mounting system already installed in my new home. (Monoprice product ID 12986) Unfortunately, the previous owner sold the TV with the bracket system still attached. So I'm left with the mounting system but no brackets. I assume there's an easy way to jerry-rig a different bracket system to the current mount, but how do I check which brackets will fit my current wall mount? Is it just easier to take the whole thing off the wall and install a new system? Thanks.

    • @Lilbullybeats
      @Lilbullybeats Před 4 měsíci +1

      It's how many times per second the image on the screen refreshes. So if you were watching sports or gaming. You see a baseball being hit disappear or the football out of a QBs hand look fuzzy after his throw...it's because the 60 frames per second cant refresh fast enough to keep that ball whole. 120hz+ only way to go and a big noticeable difference. Hope I could help. 😊

    Do you think a full motion swivel mount can be done on metal studs for my TCL 65” that weighs around 55lbs (25kg)? None of the installers are confident here to install on metal studs with the weight here in Australia. Was looking to get a Mounting Dream because can’t get Pipishell locally here on Amazon?

    • @BTheInstaller
      @BTheInstaller  Před 10 měsíci

      In America, I do them often on metal studs in that situation. Normally metal studs are 24 inches apart here so I normally have a mount that covers 2 studs for extending it out. Flatter mounts, I do 1. The weight is not an issue for metal studs

    Let me know when they have one with a six foot articulating arm. Where you can have a monitor mounted on the wall and pull it out and down to be right in front of you for computer work and put back for tv viewing. A 24 inch pullout doesn't do anything but help access to the back for wiring.

    • @BTheInstaller
      @BTheInstaller  Před 10 měsíci

    Thanks much for the info! Like you said, the choices are ridiculous. I have studs on 16" centers but the center of the TV falls exactly on one of them, and just don't trust toggle bolts. Is there a good option for a 32" wide back plate? I want to be able to pull the TV out from the wall for changing cables and whatnot, but would prefer not having the option to tilt down, or only if the tilt can absolutely be locked. I found one on A***** but CZcams tends to delete my comments when I try to post links. It's made by "Mounting Dream" and the description says it works with 32" studs. I like the fact that the mounting plate has holes all the way across, but it does have a tilt option and I'm not so sure about it. EDIT: Forgot to mention that it's a 65" TV.

    • @BTheInstaller
      @BTheInstaller  Před 10 měsíci +1

      Probably overkill for a 65" but I'm sure if it has 32" wide back plate, it would hold that no problem. Most arm mounts have Tilt down. I would likely just put the stud in the middle of the pipishell $40 mount and it wouldbe perfectly fine.
