That's how you have to word it so he now he has to do it right? Lol
I have been asking him to do a video about the benefits of rampage spec on a gun with dragonfly, for some reason he always ignores me..
Yeah but the piss take with backup mag is it doesn’t directly tell you how many extra bullets you get, pulses and hand cannons seem to benefit the most but for a sniper or shotty it’s usually 1 or it just doesn’t change it at all.
There is an easy way to calculate Backup Mag. Take the magazine count of your gun and add 30%. Backup Mag adds a straight 30% increase to any gun. It makes very little difference to Shotguns and Snipers.

They affect bullet magnetism. In the same way Targeting Adjuster does.
They also effect ads time , their was a Reddit post on r/crucibleplaybook a little while ago they showed their effect with snap shot and quickdraw. Their effect isn't as good snap shot or quickdraw but it's still pretty good.

Do blast radius or velocity change the impact damage of grenade launchers and rocket launchers? I've heard people say that more blast radius reduces your impact damage, and more velocity increases it.
Big boy question right there, I agree I want to know this. If both are true, then which barrel is the best: one with minimal blast radius or one with maximum velocity? Is it worth masterworking a velocity mw GL?
Less blast radius improves impact damage ONLY if you have spike grenades. In every other situation blast radius doesn't matter. Velocity never matters either.
Doom Paul Blast Radius decreases damage a tiny amount per point, and velocity does not increase damage at all, several tests have been done by different reddit members.
Doom Paul blast radius only impacts the damage of rockets when you’re dealing with cluster bombs. The less blast radius the more tight the clusters detonate. In pvp this is really just pointless though since you kinda want to blanket an area in bombs.
If you have spike grenades for grenade launchers or impact casing for rocket launchers, hard launch is your best option, otherwise, velocity is good for, well, the projectile going faster.

Freehand grip would more then likely give the same type of bonuses as the icarus grip does just with hipfiring instead of being in the air. My biggest question is what is the best to put on a shotgun?

what does air assault do apart from being a wasted perk
Alejo Ruiz Camauer it lets you aim down sight faster in the sky, so you can see your impending doom with a little extra zoom
I believe it also behaves like a quickdraw and snap shot combo in the air. But I could just be pulling this out of my butt ...

I have an austringer with air assault I put Icarus grip on with stomps with traction jump around and constantly pop heads.
I know this must not have been easy for you, but I deeply appreciate your work, Fallout. It's stuff like this that has kept my interest in Destiny for these 5 years.
Gonna be honest, this series is one of my favorites. I love learning about the game and how things work rather than just doing because someone else is.
Targeting perks would be nice, especially slightly, normal, enhanced but that could also be hard to get enough armor to test. Thanks for all the hard work.
Freehand grip plsssss need to know if i should put it on my mindbenders that doesn't have snapshot nor quickdraw but has the holy Trinity 😭
YupItsShadow99 grind for one with one of those it’s what you need in more competitive pvp. And Icarus is so noticeable on shotguns
For mindbender’s slideshot QuickDraw or slideshot snapshot are imperative. It makes a massive difference to the gun. Especially if you like to play aggressively which should be the case if you’re running a shotty anyway. Icarus is the best mod on shotguns.
TerraTheWise got the holy trinity for aggressive frames and snapshot and grave robber and I’m content grave robber has saved my life many times but I’d only use that perk on a shorty

-Any heavy (though one with demolitionist helps)

How do accuracy mods affect bows considering bows use accuracy stat instead of range to determine things like bullet magnetism?

Something I've noticed for in air accuracy (pretty sure this applies with everything as I've used this with lots of guns and it seems to work) while jumping, if you fire at the very top of your jump when the reticle is at its most stable the shot is actually fairly accurate. Much more so than if you fire at any other point of a jump, either rising or falling. Just a personal observation.

The pellet spread of the naked DRB was interesting, like the entire pattern was shifted in one direction rather than each pellet being calculated independently

I always put an icarus mod on my sniper. Not only because it‘s so dang fun, but also because it‘s very unexpected by an enemy for you to snipe them while in the air

I think a video on the effects of targeting on helmets and the overall effects they have would make for a good video ;) (For example with a weapon like spare ration that already has a 92 aim assist value. How much better would the feel of stickiness/bullet magnetism be without and with (enhanced handcannon tageting/handcannon targeting.)

if you have a Handcannon with Precision Frame, the redical will shrink even without icarus grip and when you use icarus grip it will almost shoot pinpoint in the air, i play as a hunter with Lunas Howl and icarus grip and it is a beast.
When my Shotty will consistently one hit, pigs will grow wings and invade Mars .
But what about aimed firing a low range shotgun while in the air and with the icarus mod and measuring bullet bending, but only for crit shots against each type of vex?
On just the PC. But using a controller.
I have a brilliant example of airial inaccuracy on snipers. I playing against my friend. He hadn't seen me. I was falling. I lined up a sniper shot on his head. I pulled the trigger. Where the shot went was barely even on my scope. It then got headshot.

Icarus- The son of Daedalus, the Greek mythological labyrinth maker. They attempted to escape from Crete by using wings his father has constructed. He ended up falling to his death because “He flew too close to the sun” (In quotations because it’s now an idiom). Hence why it is Icarus “Grips”
I believe on dcp mark noseworthy and josh hamrick talked about the earliest play testing of destiny pvp. At the time they had 100% in air accuracy. They said that within no time the only way to play the game was to jump in the air and shoot your opponent. This is obviously a crude paraphrase but you get the idea. The in air accuracy penalties seem to be in place to keep the gameplay from becoming that one play style.

Something like Trust does actually benefit from it more than you know. It makes a bigger difference at longer ranges.
You should try a loadout with Polaris Lance. Maybe Smugglers Word/kinetic smg, Polaris Lance, sword/machine gun. Pair it with mid treestriker and you could snipe someone, use the PL perk to "2 tap" the next guy, then go off with your kinetic with inertia from the victims of your scout
You’ve done all of the main perks now :) can just wait until shadowkeeps new ones. I am still interested in what you class the god roll spare rations would be ? For last perk range finder, multi kill clip? Kill clip? Rampage ? Swashbuckler for pvp thanks

The thing I want to know next is Backup Mag, because that's something I've been very confused with as of late, because some guns get a massive boost while others get a couple of rounds (examples: valakadyn and recluse)
Could you do an in depth vid on Foe tracer? It would be nice to see what it actually helps with, like if it makes an archetype of gun use one less shot, over all reducing the ttk.
Hey man so my buddy posed a great question. Does stability on a handcannon actually make a difference? And if it does, what's the threshhold to see results. I have several god rolled austringers, one has maybe 10 or 15 more stability more than the other, but only feels slightly different.
Move to front assault, and you can actually begin to see a difference in preformance, damage aside. So my question, and maybe a good video/investigation would be to dive into stability and to see when it actually begins to affect weapon performance. Im starting to go into private matches and try it out. Food for thought fall out. God bless brother.

I have a video idea for you that i would really appreciate. Weapon dexterity perks, what do they exactly do? Do they give you handling, or switch weapond faster or what the hell do they do? I sat around for half an hour yesterday trying to find the difference between no hand cannon dexterity, handcannon dexterity and enhanced handcannon dexterity and to be honest i couldnt notice any difference.
Can you please do a FREEHAND GRIP mod test? I made a reddit post almost a year ago about how Luna's Howl (and thus other guns) might benefit more from Freehand than Targeting Adjuster, possibly due to some hidden mechanics, and I think it's worth checking out!

I'm curious about what is the fastest builds someone could run. I know you can just go and get 10 mobility with armor and mods, but there's plenty of abilities and perks in the game that grant a lot of speed bonuses like lightweight frames, moving target and the occational exotic item that gives speed.
If there is a max cap via the 10 mobility, what would be the most optimal setup of resiliance and recovery as your second set of stats?
It sounds very basic ofcourse since these stats have been here since Day 1 but I feel like we haven't truely explored these stats in their total capabilities.
Can someone truely achieve OP-ness with lots of recovery, mobility and resiliance on them?
Watching you run through the spinning arc things in the pyramidion broke my brain, I would have died on the first one doing the same thing
These mod videos are great keep 'em coming. You should test whether rangefinder makes any difference on the mountaintop. Like does micro-missile override rangefinder, or does it actually increase the speed?
In my experience, autorifles tend to be the worst primary weapons to fire while jumping. There the benefit of adding an Icarus grip might be the greatest.

Hand canons tend to have better in air accuracy than most weapons since D1; so yeah not surprised about it.
You forgot to test the bullet magnetism with them... The most important part is seeing how it effects hitting actual targets!!!
The reason why the trust has a near perfect in air accuracy is because it's a 180 rpm, which all 180 hc have

Hey Fallout. For consistent airborne testing, can't you find one of those spots/objects where you can lock yourself into a fall state and do it from there?
But... SMGs.... Those are a highly popular in-air PvP option. Can understand how hard that would be though, because you would have to do more than just a single shot and then there's the question of whether or not you counter the recoil, things like that. Could do it on an Titan with Lion Rampant or a Warlock with that in air thing they do in the Solar tree.
Great vid, respect for all the time you put into these test. Have you done a review of energy grenade launcher? What's the best perk? I don't have the mountain top and been having fun with truthteller but not sure if black powder is a good damage perk?
shotguns reticle doesnt widen due to them being shotguns and already having a "spread" pattern save the slugs but the slugs have the same reticle so nothing changes.

One perk I have always wondered on in PVP is armour piercing rounds. Usually I go High-cal, but is APR a sleeping good perk? Does it actually do anything? Or, do we just stick to default High- cal???
Icarus grip is FILTHY with revoker. It’s my fav combo at the moment. Pop up, take the shot, hit. Clean up kill. Pop up, take the shot, Miss. repeat step one, clean up kill
it's not a mod but do you think you could check out moving target? it's wording makes it seem like it only works while you're moving.
hand cannons got a buff a little bit ago and it was an in air buff.
