    Thanks for making videos like this- and to the participants for sharing your experiences. Speaking as newly diagnosed - it really helps to listen to people speak about it and to see that it can doesn't have to define our lives- maybe just alter a few expectations. Keep up the good work Epilepsy Society!

    I've had epilepsy all my life and have been put through some really horrid things from others who have no understanding of it. Even some doctors, consultants and nurses including paramedics have been totally foul, which has driven me to take my own life many, many times.
    At the moment I reside in a homeless night shelter in Oxford, in a room with hard floors, no alarm system and can not use the shower as its a death trap and on the first floor too. I have got bored of trying to explain and point out the dangers to the staff. I hope that next time I fit while going up or down the stairs I have a seizure and fall to my death. 1 in 100 you say have epilepsy, so why pray tell me is this world so nasty about it and also so ignorant?
