- Rally North Wales 16/02/24 - Round 1 of the 2024 Mini rally challenge.
Jacob and Russell back out on the gravel once again for the start of the 2024 season in the MRC. Returning in their championship-winning car, This time however with a freshly swapped R53 mini cooper S engine.
With no time to test, the rally is the first time the pair get to experience the power difference after last year's standard R50. Exciting stuff to come.

I shall see what I can get Russel to do 👀, I agree it would be great to see codriver's side as well. Re-road sections, can see what I can do. But not an awful lot 🤷

Hi, @jacobneal8123. I love the videos. We are currently building an R53 for gravel. I have custom-built the suspension, and I was wondering what spring rates you plan on using on the new R53 for gravel and tarmac. Unfortunately, we can't enter the Challenge, as our car doesn't meet the requirements, but I hope to see you there.
Hi mate, I can find out for you. Currently, We have been using the gravel springs for tar as well due to using older, shorter challenge suspension. But, have just upgraded to the latest challenge spec, longer travel stuff.. Ill find out what the spring rate is, not sure of the top of my head.
Can you even get suspension for these that’s good for gravel rallying?

Yeah it looks a lot of fun! I’ve got an r53 just interested to see how you would get more travel or more of a ride height?
@@dancaulton6280 Championship uses adjustable BC coils, So you can play with height and droop to make it as best as it can be for the money etc.
