You know you are pushing things when the ballsiest, most unflappable people in the world.. the co-driver reading pace notes is shocked and astounded, a little frightened and being vocal.... thats when you know you are jogging along the ragged edge. Always a joy to watch. And the crowds obviously love your work! Your clips look like the days of Group B with crowd participation!

Magnificent! Proper old-school rallying. The only thing that depresses me is that it was this kind of superb car control that inspired lesser drivers to develop the so-called sport of 'drifting'. I hate drifting. The cars, the culture, everything.
Drifting is a pointless, embarrassing wank-fest for little boys in car parks: lots of revs and tyre smoke but you don't bloody go anywhere.
The point of drifting in rallying and circuit racing is that it's a means to an end, not an end in itself. Going sideways isn't quick, but it can save you from smashing into walls, trees, or flying off a mountain road, so it's a necessary skill to learn.
But drifting on its own doesn't make you a great driver.
