Ugh - that water tank story is the WORST! People were bathing and brushing their teeth with water someone had been decomposing in 😫😫😫
I thought this was going to be a spoOoky story with scary things that happened to you but it was basically just the history of the hotel. Still scary that you stayed there but at least you didn’t experience anything spooky!
Hahahaha I’m thankful I didn’t experience anything! But felt it was a story super worth telling because we had no idea what we were doing and would have never stayed there if we had known

@@MelissaAlatorre I used to stay there all the time from 2010 - 2014 and I didnt know either.
I lived there in the 1984-87 . I was 4 years old, my mom couldn’t afford much so we stayed there for 3 years. I remember there was always girls in front of the building waiting for cars to arrive , years later I figured they were prostitutes. I used to go and play in the elevator for me it was as fascinating.. I remember police would be in the building almost daily to get someone. We lived in the 14th . Little did know this building would be famous now .

Yeah, I wouldn't ever stay there. I've known about this hotel, and it freaks me out. I have stayed at the driskill in Austin,TX. That was a trip. You can hear things in the halls. There are some rooms you can special request bc they are haunted rooms. And I believe some rooms are off limits. But in the halls, you hear things. It's so creepy. It's a beauty hotel with great service and I would stay there again, but it's so old, and the history behind it. It's incredible.

I stayed here one night and didnt know the whole history. At that night when we slept, around midnight the fire alarm went on, my boyfriend and I ran downstairs and asked the security what’s going on, he said “someone played with the fire alarm” ._.
I just glad I was oblivious to the hotels history and same from you or else you would question everything happening hahaha

Extremely spooky! One time I took a wrong turn and ended up on skid row and this was one of the first times I had gone to LA by myself. And my window was down and this very very torn up man put his hand in my car and starts talking to me and petting my dog while I was at a red light. I DID NOT KNOW WHAT TO DO I WAS SO CONFUSED HAHAH
@@vanessaramirez1443 lol my husband works in La and has to drive through skid row at night. He said his car just stopped and all these homeless people rushed to his car trying to open the door,luckily it started up again. I would’ve freaked out 😂🙅🏻♀️

Well at least you got out alive. I had googled this place before watching this video and it sounded like a lot of people didn’t end up so lucky. The older deaths didn’t freak me out as much as the most recent one where the girl ended up in the water cistern and people could basically taste it in the water. That was just too much.

So, my old job used to have company Christmas parties. We happen to stay at this really old hotel out here in the Bay Area it’s called the Claremont. Now, the only reason my fiancé and I decided to stay was because they do serve us alcohol and we didn’t want to drive home. We end up checking in and I’m like oh okay this is an older hotel but the VIBEEEESS were not there. We got into our room and I still needed to get ready. The whole time I was getting ready I felt like I was being watched and so did my fiancé. We honestly just brushed it off. When we met up with my coworkers one of them had a room that was really off to the corner like it was REALLY creepy and it smelled like old perfume which she wasn’t wearing. Fast forward, to after the company party we all go back up to our rooms and we could not sleep we were up all night because again we felt like we were being watched and super on edge. We ended up leaving first thing in the morning. To later find out that one of our coworkers looked up the hotel and BAM it’s freaking HAUNTED specifically the floor we stayed on i kid you not i was like dude i swear they had these old ass windows it felt like someone was outside watching us mind you they didn’t open never again. I always look up older hotels now🤦🏻♀️
The same exact thing happened to me. I stayed at "Stay on Main" aka Cecil Hotel back in 2016 and didn't know about it's history, literally clueless. It wasn't until I got back from my trip that I received an email from Expedia or Yelp (can't remember which) to give a review of our stay. I didn't have the best experience, the place was super sketchy, weird vibes and energy in the room and hallways (I'm an empath), not to mention I had a very hard time falling asleep and kept waking up in the middle of the night. So, when I received that email to give the hotel a review I said "Sure will, I need to vent on my experience there" (which I normally don't do but it was that bad) So, I'm on the review page and start reading other peoples reviews (Should've done that before I booked my stay hahaha!). I started seeing people mention the poor girl that was found in the tank just a few years earlier. Naturally I went on a rabbit hole looking more into the hotel, I was alone at home that night and I feel that looking into the hotel and finding all these other stories about it's history made it worse because I feel like I still had that weird energy from the hotel around me since my stay there had been so recent. Learned my lesson and now spend a little more time going through hotel reviews BEFORE I book my stay ahahah!!

I was at FIDM loft which is off campus and our class saw when they working getting her out of the water tank and all the helicopters :( they had us rush to sewing room. It was crazy.

It closed down a while back
@@nybigcity94 9 people still live there. They can't be kicked out because they're permanent residents in private rented rooms. It has been closed to the public since 2017 though. People think its closed completely though but they moved all the permenant residents to one floor which is why people see lights turning on and off and windows opening. Must be crazy to live there but I've been on the streets before and I think back to those freezing nights I think I'd have stayed there given the choice

I was good until that elevator video. I remember when it first happened and was on the news, and even then without knowing about the history, her video always made me feel so uneasy. Rewatching it years later, still scared if not even more. Lol
I want you to know i watched this while laying in a 1800 Guadalajara hotel while forced to be in quarantine until we were able to fly out the next day. Not one of my better decisions - Slept with a light on. 😂
