Congrats on your new home! I lived on Vancouver Island years ago and I was shocked to see some trees blossoming there in early March! (I'm originally from Ontario, where I live again now)
2 weeks and I start my onions inside. Enough for 100lb harvest target. The only seedlings I grow, rest are seed in the soil. We just got 1' of snow, and may see same this weekend. Garlic doesn't care ;-) Remember, any soil you do not plant after tilling, cover to kill grass.
