- In a abandoned ancient city is a temple of such size it leaves me breathless. Please subscribe & help support this channel in building this library of ancient temples, even the smallest donation would help me get further down the road. www.Patreon.com/Temples - Thank you
The huge size and the architecture of this temple is mind-blowing but what more mind-blowing is that historians are confused about the use of this
The original name of this temple or pyramid is sahastra linga (which means 1000 lingams) in Sanskrit sahastra means 1000 , so you ask where are the lingams ?
if you see the complex , it is surrounded by a wall which has 1000 lingams
What was the need of this ? This much be a some type of ancient experiment, because it's not like a temple or a worship place.
Very nice. Your videos are being reccomended. CZcams approves, and why not. They're very fun to watch during these times of restricted travel.
Thanks very much you’re very kind. How do you know my videos are being recommended? I’m not really an expert with CZcams as I know I will never make any money from monetisation. Take good care
Great Videos the nature and spiritual thing seem very welcome you🎉😊
People mentioned there a big crystal make of lingen in the middle of this temple some one looted the lingen. Thanks for showing us this beautiful temple.
It’s impossible to say, if that is true, there are lingas made of many different substances, so it may be true. It certainly would’ve been a wonderful thing to see. I hope life is kind you
Wonderful video - I was there several years ago and look forward to returning. The 'do not draw' sign refers to graffiti and asks visitors not to write on the stones. Best wishes.
I guess that was the case, but I just couldn’t resist for the sake of comedy. Hope life is kind. Best wishes
Very nice video. I appreciate your quest to record these temples. Thank you for sharing. I’m planning a visit to here soon.
Thank you. It’s very much a labour of love. Tonight I lay here praying the Thais extend my visa so I can look at the temples there. I have so many more miles to travel, so many more temples to see.
@@TheMrB I live in Thailand and have been all over the country. Thai temples are my hobby but I really enjoy Khmer ones. I hope your visa gets sorted out. I look forward to more of your videos. I hope to travel through Siem Riep next month with many stops along the way. Your videos have inspired me.
These temples are in fact much older then they are saying and what is historically believed
Stunning, wow, beautiful, amazing… are understatement. Thanks for sharing 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
As always baby you are more than welcome. I hope life is good. Mr B x
Wow amazing thank you again !!
You are more than welcome, thank you very much for your kind comment as it is a lonely business I do and it is very much appreciated when someone else enjoys it
Just heard about this channel through Fighting through podcast . Nice to join you.
That is wonderful. Thank you very much for letting me know, I was quite taken aback by how lovely and kind Paul’s comment on his podcast was. I thought he would just mention my name but he went on to read my letter and to give me one hell of a wonderful bit of promotion, which I’m very much grateful for as I’m a big fan of his show. Again thanks very much for letting me know I was very much hoping that one person to contact me so it’s very much appreciated. My very best wishes
Thank you
Your more than welcome
I went there last year
Through a side track
Then came out the entrance
Wow...Such beautiful magical place!!!
It’s just so very beautiful
It's amazing Cambodia have the biggest ancient temple and Egypt have the second. Both civilizations built pyramids.
Bcoz of indian
Mexico or Central America has pyramids too, definitely some similarities there however I don’t believe the Khmers sacrificed humans but idk
Thank you Sir . The temple site style architecture remain me of some ancient buddhist temple and Shiva temple in Java island & Bali island.
That I never knew. Even more Temples to visit, and that makes me very happy. My best wishes to you
You missed the most important part... There was a giant crystal object placed at the top according to local people. Which is currently missing or it is inside pyramid.
That has not been proven, there is also stories of a linga that was on the top that was covered in gold, but that also it’s just local legend. Best wishes to you.
Most of the Khmer temples had gold or diamonds etc either inside or outside high up but all has been looted and plundered during times of war and I’m not talking about the KR era. They were gone way before. I think a lot ended up in Thailand and Myanmar. Myanmar probably got it through second hand after invading Thai during the old times. There’s some Khmer bronze statues in Myanmar taken from Ayuthaya Thailand. Those we probably can’t get back as it was centuries ago.
Great video . I want to go there !
Believe me it’s magical.
Wow huge pyramid !!
Wonderful, thank you 🙏
Thank you for your kind comments they are very much appreciated
Thank you for posting. The UNESCO is considering to put this temple as one of the world heritage site. Appreciate your video❤️
Yes I’ve heard this as well it will mean they will get a lot more funding, it is truly a fantastic site. Thank you very much for your kind comment. Very best wishes to you. Mr B
Thank you for sharing this video. I’ve learned a few things from watching this video.
Thank you very much for your kind comments. I’m very glad that you enjoyed it, I work alone so when someone leaves a nice comment it does make me smile thank you
@@TheMrB you are doing good public educational service. I found it interesting this Khmer pyramid has striking similarity to the Aztec/Mayan in Mexico & Guatemala.
I have been lucky as I have seen the temples in Mexico, and you are right they are exactly the same. The reason for this is people used to build towers but they would fall down. So the only real shape that does survive is a pyramid, hence that is why we see them around the world. I wish it was ancient aliens, I really do, but sadly it is not it is maths.☺️
My tear of Joy due to your good work. Due to plate techtonic upwarc movement, river dried out in Linngapura. And attacked by Sailendra dynasty from Java.
I am so very glad that you enjoyed it, thank you so much for your kind comment.
You didn’t disappoint us. Very impressive to be the least… wish I can visit now ASAP!!! Thanks 🙏 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
You are always welcome my sweet I hope life is kind to. X
This is a perfect temple compound for B-Indiana Jones.
Thank you so much much !
You are very much welcome.❤️
i visited koh ker nine years ago. beautiful place. we were on our way to preah vihear on the thai border. if i remember correctly we also visited beng meala on same trip. i may be wrong
I think you are right you could do both in the same trip and both are fantastic
Great video, God bless u... :)
Thank you very much for your kind comments take the best of care. Mr B
Love you from Cambodia 🇰🇭❤
Excellent video, Mr.B. My first sight of Koh Ker. I had a very disappointing few days and your video has lightened my mood immensely. Thanks a lot.
I’m very happy to hear that. I hope life is better for you now. Take good care.
Truly magnificent and that view was stunning I’m so glad you were able to climb all those stairs! Living in such a built up area as I do it’s heartening to see nature take back what is rightfully theirs. 🤩🥰😘
Nature is I think the main reason I keep doing this. I find calm. XX 😘
I was here in 2017. Amazing and I am glad I reached the top of the pyramid. It was a great sight. Not many tourists though. Thanks for sharing with us.👍🙏
You are very welcome. It truly is one of the most amazing sites I have seen, I was so lucky to have it all to myself which only add to the to the air of mystery. Happy New Year take the very best of care
Historians said that the temple was build in 12 hours, according inscription. I think the writing on the wall was made up by the ancient person.
I love old stories like that, adds a bit of romance. And is often told about many ancient buildings, which is wonderful
Great you climbed to the top, I’ve been there once on a day tour from SR, so many small temples alongside this giant.
Really enjoyed your video….by the way, I’m an artist, I’ve drawn at many of the Temples , never seen a sign like you found
My temple hunting now pretty much dominates my life. Yesterday I was in the jungle all day and being a fool I forgot to take water, left myself with terrible headaches but I had a great smile
You are a very lucky person to get a chance to climb and explore this magnificient Pyramid. I was there in March 2016, and I did not do it due to the end of closing time. I found it by accident; my driver did not mention about this pyramid in our agenda of the day. I will try again when I get a chance next time. Judging by my own sence, maybe this is the place for excution to worship God at that time...my guess only. Thanks for bringing out all these places in Cambodia where time has forgotten. Take care.
Thank you very much for your kind comment. It is a fantastic place do see it if you can.
Your commentary is hilarious and pleasantly entertaining.
Can't wait to visit the temple myself tomorrow.
I hope you had a wonderful trip to the Temples. I myself I’m heading off into Thailand again soon to capture those that are far away. You keep on adventuring
Epic handmade architecture masterpiece
It is absolutely staggering when seen up close. It’s like an alien ship just landed in the jungle.
Thanks for showing this pyramid temple. I heard like it's a sakasra lingam (1000 lingams) temple where 1000 lingams are there built for Lord Shiva
It is said there was a giant lingers on the top. Not sure as to on the base etc
I like to travel with you too see this site and pyramids ??? Thank you posting and being sober I am 14 years sober !! Know
If you wish for me to guide you to this site I am more than happy to take you on a tour. My email is MrBTemples@protonmail.com.

At the submit, once stood a mighty linga. Those Gorudas are to support the mighty linga. Koh Ker temples complex was once know the city of linga.
Thanks for showing us the temple. I have been there twice and still I would like to be there some other day.
Spectacular!👌
Thanks so much for posting. 😁🙏
As always Edward you are more than welcome.
Hi, spectacular indeed. I enjoyed watching your video. I have been wanting to go there but due to this pandemic, I sheved it off. But after watching this, you revived my enthusiasm. Any tour company you know of who is offering a group tour? When is the best time to go there?
The best time to go is when the tourist season has died down some. But if you are hunting forgotten temples then any time is a good time the only problem is the monsoon rains making the roads impossible as they turn into rivers of mud.
As to tours contact Mark Ord at AllPointsEast.com. He is my advisor and a legend in this field. Been running tours here for twenty years and is none better than Mark. Do you mention you were recommended to him by myself and I’m sure there will be a discount involved. Very best wishes, take the best of care. Mr B
Looks wonderful will have to see if we can include this in our trip later this year
It's a mahadeva temple 🙏❤️
Is it? Could you please tell me more? As I always explain I am only in enthusiast and any help or information that anyone can give me I am very grateful for, as I feel that on my little adventures those that watch complain important part in helping me create the correct direction for these films. I hope life is kind, very best wishes. Mr B
@@TheMrBMahadeva means Shiva. So he is saying it's Shiva temple cause Koh Ker site was known for Shiva worship.
How did the Khmer empire manage to build so many massive temples and pyramids?
Quite simply with a huge amount of labour and excellent organisational skills overseen by the Kings. With vast amounts of labour you can move amount in 1 teaspoon at a time.
But some experts said the Khmer adopted the Mandala system which is a de-centralized way of ruling a society. If the Khmer empire did adopted the Mandala system you would not see this kind of massive centralized work force to build all of these structures on a Industrial scale.
It was built indian king
@@sudhakaran.v3736 Indian king lmao.. who lie to you
👍🙏
Thank you 🙏
Wow! And what an important quest you are on. Putting all these locations in one easily accessible place. Last time I was in Siem Reap I looked everywhere for a book (including Amazon) on the many temples of Angkor. A book with pictures, history and locations (as well as an overview of all) so I could pick a few and do what you are doing during my stay. Is "Forgotten Temples" going to be that book?
I feel a book with the way outside my available time. Hello so much time not to mention all the editing. Very best wishes. Mr B
🙏
Congratulation to Koh Ker for making into the UNESCO!
It is very well looked after, it now means that will be a lot more tourists
I been visit November 2023 great temple
I'd love to join you one day, and bring my drone along!
Where are you based?
I'll be in Cambodia in the Spring. 😊
Great video. Been to Koh Ker in 2005. Only jungle, no tourist and a very sketchy wooden ladder to get to the top.
Totally agree
Best yet! Gonna go see this one!
It’s epic
Thanks!
You are very welcome, I hope life is gentle for you
haha that was rather funny “do not draw” but in seriousness people do write graffiti and edged their initials on the stones. this is what happened at angkor wat. i think that’s what was supposed to represent “do not write graffiti”
also you probably already know but for the local we pronounce it koh keh and not ker as in “air” “k-air”. but if you read this as in french “é” k-éh with silent “h” that’s how we pronounce it koh keh...thought i mention.
but i really appreciate your video it’s enchanting to see outsiders views and perceptions of our temples, it’s informative and entertaining. thank you for sharing!
Yes, I must confess I did work out. It was related to graffiti, but I was just joking around a bit because it’s so rare. I see anything that has any comedy in it. So on this occasion, I took a little bit of a liberty.
I hope life is kind and thank you very much for your comments. They are very much appreciated and don’t forget to go on adventures of your own.
i couldn’t complain, life’s been so beautiful. like you i’ve been retired for 8 years now and been travelling around asia for solid 2 years. hope lord buddha will continue to allow me having opportunities to travel, so much wonders to explore.
be well and stay safe!
Another good vid Mr B. This hat is an improvement on the cheeks out, leather chaps look of the black one.
I’m very glad you like it, I believe the hat has been offered his own show.
@@TheMrB You have to take success where you can get it. Best of luck to the black hat.
Black hat out, got its own show. Brown hats in. 😃
maybe some day we can visit pyramid together
Another great video mate, keep up the good work! What’s the motorbike you are using to get around to these temples?
Thanks very much for your kind encouragement it is always appreciated as what I do is a lonely business. My bike is a CB 500 X, and I love it to bits. In fact dumped my last girlfriend and got a bike couldn’t be happier.😉
@@TheMrB love it, that’s a cool bike! I’m Hoping to upgrade to Royal Enfield Himalayan sometime soon and so some similar adventuring
Lord Shiva is blessing you.
Thank you so much for your comment, I often think I walk with the gods for I see such wonderful things. My very best wishes to you
@@TheMrB Please explore more in Cambodia. Please focus more on the name Bhima Pallavar from Tamil Nadu, who married to Cambodian princess. Bhima progegy is the one who gave additional contribution to rise Saivism in Tamil Nadu. The grandson, Nandivarma 2 ,who volunteered to go to Kanchipuram to provide continued Pallavar kingship. Where was the hometown of this Nandivarman 2? Siem Reap? Still a mystery in Indian history
Need to solve.
You are very kind, but I am very much an enthusiast, to questions as deep as yours it really does take an expert I feel. My very best wishes to you.

Thank You 🙏 ❤️🙏

1n.b. no coins in Cambodia 😆
2n.b. Mister B does look like a CowB 😆
3n.b. Mr.B. said "a awful long way..." : well, knowing you and I came from far distances and, Cambodia is such a small country...you might have felt very exhausted that day 😆. Fare well 🌈
Can’t deny those. 😊

Inside is nothing really the facing stones are the nice ones and inside is rough cut stones and rubble, or maybe a spaceship, I really hope it’s a spaceship.
