Sand training is an effective training protocol to improve stabilization and proprioception. The resistance from sand at ground contact strengthens the lower body especially the feet, ankles, and calf muscles. One of the major benefits of sand is that it is a soft surface in comparison to grass or a rubberized track. This means more work could be done without the same amount of muscle damage the other surfaces give due to how metabolically demanding it is. It also provides a great cardiovascular stimulus. These benefits allow athletes to still be able to perform the next day in other activities. So this is great for recovery purposes. I wouldn’t live and die off this modality but I would definitely throw this style of training in every so often to give my athletes a “break” from harder surfaces due to the low impact benefits of the sand. Sand training is great because of the soft surface. Sand training and sand dune training at the beach or wherever are a great way for training agility, speed, and quickness.

Bro, If I’m bein real. It’s gonna take about 7 months to run just for 60 minutes. So just run everyday for about 25 minutes without stopping, and build by the Minute there..😉
