Only saw him once just before his death. It was at the Halifax Casino and didn't really know that there was anything wrong with him health wise. Bought the Montreux DVD and waited in line to meet him and get it signed. Waited for a while then they came and said that he wasn't feeling too too well and wouldn't make it. Went down to the old Fife and Drum bar in the Marriott next door to watch my brother's band and met his rhythm guitar player, the guy you see in this video. Talked to him for quite a while and he let it slip that Jeff wasn't doing to well medically. He did compliment my brother on his guitar playing though, which I thought was pretty cool. Wasn't too long after I heard he passed, was quite a trooper performing right up to the end.

+BeBeBeelzebub Writing this made me do a little research on the guitarist i met from his band. His name is Pat Rush and he played with a few other famous guys like Muddy Waters, Allman Brothers, Johnny Winter, and Dr John. Was known for his slide work, which is pretty darn good. Pretty cool guy anyways.
