I suffered for two decades with UC/IBS. Was told that I would have to take meds for the rest of my life. Finally discovered the carnivore lifestyle 10 months ago. I've healed all my symptoms. Also don't get chronic headaches anymore, joint pain gone, energy levels up, mental focus is better, I could go on and on! I'm 57 this year and my body and mind are in the best condition I've ever been! Amazing!!

There's nothing more important for health than the food you eat unfortunately you'll never hear that from a doctor.

It would be great to hear a 1 year update from Brielle. I have had UC since my junior year in university, 12 years ago. I think my severity was similar (pancolitis, practically disabled). I started prednisone and the SCD diet immediately upon diagnosis. I imagine both helped, and I got better really fast. However I still have the disease and go through cycles of flares and remission, but it's never been anywhere near as bad as the first time knock on wood, and I'm still just on mesalamine. I got increasingly lazy with my diet but now I'm having the worse flare I've had in a while (still not nearly as bad as the first time) so I've decided to get back on the war path and do the SCD from zero again because I believe that helped me a lot. This time though I'm also going to get into ketosis and stay there for at least a month and see what that looks like.

You have to detox the body and eat the right foods. Work on lymphatic drainage, sleep, and eat only digestible foods. Food is everything, but most doctors don’t talk to their patients about nutrition.

Happy for you. Wish the video dove more into what you ate throughout your day though.

Thank you for this. For me it was surprising how quickly I improved once I stopped bread and dairy. I added pomegranate and celery juice and bone broth in the morning. I then eat mostly high quality beef the rest of the day. Also, Planet Ayurveda has herbs that I know made a difference. I am not healed completely but I am close. Very little pain and sleeping better. Not nearly as much time on the head. I am 61, can’t imagine having this at 18. She is a strong young woman. Goos for her and her success.

Add pickles step your diet. Not the fancy ones, just basic pickles. My son has diagnosed IBD and the pickles-he swears-put him in remission. Oh and he loves to eat meat just like this video.

I'm in a rough flare for about a month , strict carnivore 17 days , no improvement yet also on prednisone, wondering how long it normally takes to see improvement?

@@robmiller2919 I would say you should see some signs of improvement within a couple of weeks. You can download the Survival Guide on my website which addresses flare ups.

Detox, sleep, eat meat, broth, fruit juice and honey until it calms down. Then you can try adding more whole fruits, potatoes and rice.
