As you know it’s much harder to come by one in good condition and low miles in a Manual so I’m wondering do you think the swap is worth doing with my very little experience working on cars?

Looking forward to doing this swap myself. Not planning on making it a power house though, so i plan on using a W55. Have a few questions, hoping for some advice and help. What year is your SC? If you might know, if swapping a W55 in, would I still need any adapters or anything like that? Finally, was there anything needed to be done for the TCM or PCM? I've read a post on CL where someone left the transmission solenoids connected and put them in a bag off to the side. I appreciate your help and look forward to more of your videos.
It's a 94. Not sure on W55 just R154. Not too sure what TCM or PCM is, I just unplugged the solenoids and it's fine. Probably different for solenoids on 97+.

im swapping cd009, having trouble with input shaft not clearing the clutch, the oem auto trans bellhousing on the cd is too big to slide the trans back in. do you recomend cutting the trans tunnel?

When removing bolts holding driveshaft to trans or diff to driveshaft u never supposed to remove the driveshaft side bolts per the repair manual. Also not supposed to separate the driveshaft
@@2jway it's because they're weighted and factory tightened. So you only remove the 3 on each flex joint and they say not to separate the driveshaft. I made both mistakes as well and have some extra vibrations as result.

Also what about the harness portion for the solenoids on the auto trans? Did you remove that portion or did you jerryrig something to make the computer think its activating the solenoids? All good haha. Yea so no check engine light. No codes like in the video. And I just unplugged the solenoids and kept the park selector switch turned to the left. If you plan everything it's actually very straight forward haha

Hy, i have a stock sc300 with auto transmission, it's Just makes the car slow as slugish.. Did you notice a big diference in the driving experience and availability of power with the manual box? Great vídeo!
Is the cut trans tunnel noticeable at all when your driving it? That’s the only real thing I’m skeptical about with my tripod swap don’t really wanna swap trans tunnels. I have the earlier sc as well.
Just wondering what about the vehicle speed sensor? Does the existing one from the auto trans work for the r154 or does it require modification? I have a r154 but it didn't come with the vss.
There's a reverse harness I got and just matched the grounds and the power together. For the NSS it's best to extend those wires to a switch so you have control of turning it on and off. Or u can just solder together (jump them) and the car will still start and run. There are pics of the specific harness on CL

You dont need a manual for 400hp in a non vvti sc300 the a340e is good for around 450

Took brackets off and zip tied so it's hidden

It was a manual shifter lever for the a340. My friend helped me wire it up and used to be able to go thru gears
