- This is the music used for the official trailer of the movie "Schindler's list".
John Williams who was the film's composer hadn't finished with the score when the trailer needed to be released. So instead they used a part from Wojciech Kilar's "Exodus". Excellent choice for a very powerful trailer.
This is NOT the full version of "Exodus". - Zábava
How many years now, this music has stuck in my memory from just one view of the trailer. I never found it in the soundtrack. Thank goodness for Spotify profiled playlists and CZcams!
Masterpiece of a score rarely heard
Although every single second is marvelous, the specific portion of the trailer (if anyone's curious) goes from 3:06 to 6:45 .
I find this music so remarkably uplifting, it speaks to my soul
Poland and the Polish people should be proud to have a great artist like Wojciech,
And Zbigniew Preisner
RIP GREAT MASTER MR KILAR :((((
Haunting is how I would describe it.
I find this an absolute Master Piece. Most beautiful music composition
Or been on the Voyager Interstellar Record. And later used by Carl Sagan in his TV series Cosmos.
So beautiful.
Such magnificence
more Stern, more...❤
Vine después de ver The ninth gate y recordar que Wojciech Kilar fue el compositor de Bram Stocker Dracula's y ahora estoy revisando su producción. Gran artista. Esta pieza me recuerda a Ravel.
It is a shame that this brilliant piece of music was not written and performed in 1965. Stanley Kubrick might have been tempted to use it in the Space Station to Clavius Base sequence of 2001: A Space Odyssey.
No offense intended, but please make up your mind. You've also said this music should've been used by Kubrick in the last ten minutes of the film.
amazing song! im glad i finally found it!
thanks mate, much appreciated.
RIP [*]
so aweinspiring this piece.
"Schindler's Workforce" from the score must have been inspired by Wojciech Kilars "Exodus". I really hope they credit Kilar for that! John Williams just copied it!
good study music
Came here once for The Schindler's List, came here twice for The Immigrant trailer.
I also heard the Piano cover for this by Manuel Peguero. It's condensed but also amazing !
Magnifique tout simplement
Touche.
good
where can i buy this song?
spotify
Had Mr. Keilar composed this music in 1966, Stanley Kubrick might have been tempted to use this music in the last 10 minutes of 2001: A Space Odyssey.
Nah it doesn't really fit
It works far more with Malick than it would have with Kubrick.
its about music not about idiotic smarty racist comments.
This music is all over Terrence Malick's KNIGHT OF CUPS. Which I don't get. At all.
I thought this piece worked perfectly in the context of the story and might be one of the most beautiful pieces I've heard in not only a Terrence Malick movie, but ever. It's perfectly appropriate to represent Rick's ascension from Hollywood decadence and his relationship with his father into an existence more emotionally rewarding for him.
Wow, John Williams totally plagiarized this for "Schindler's Workforce," which I had assumed this track was when I heard it used in THE IMMIGRANT trailer. I already had a low opinion of Williams, and now it's even lower. At least now I know that Wojciech Kilar is a master.
hes listed as producer and conductor on IMDB, and i was told this piece wasn't actually in the film.
It is Awesome, especially the full version of it!
Your ears need a good cleaning! This sounds nothing like Schindlers Workforce.
@@sidrat69 Nothing? Come on, man.
Wow - a totally misguided and uniformed comment. Spielberg used this music for the trailer because Williams hadn't written the score yet. Get off your goofy anti-Williams high-horse, okay? You're welcome! 😀
If only this was composed in 1965, Stanley Kubrick might have used it in 2001: A Space Odyssey.
You should stop repeating yourself. This music is completely inappropriate for the Kubrick film.
Hilarious is how I would describe it.
