    I have a setting for you to try on your Equinox if your interested. Turn your ground balance to 0
    4 KHZ
    Sensitivity 20 adjust if needed.
    Turn your horseshoe button on. All metal
    Your hotrocks will read negative now Any silver small or large will read positive.
    I live in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan in the Keewenau peninsula. This what i run for float Copper. And silver. I would beg thise settings will improve your finds for what your hunting. Good luck. Hope it helps. Love the shiw

      I have played with some of these settings before and they work well. Only thing that I don't do is leave the detector on pinpoint while searching. I will try your suggested combo next time out to see how it works in that area. Thanks for the advice. Greig

    • @michaelgibson9621
      @michaelgibson9621 Před rokem

      Don't leave it on pinpoint. Just try the settings I sent. I have detected hunks of float copper at over 3 ft deep with these settings using my equinox 800. After using a a while you will be able to tell size of your targets also. Make sure to use on 4khz and the horseshoe button on. Not pinpoint button

    You're so lucky to have that kind of a variety of rocks to pick from where you are are New York State rocks are quite boring play Lake Ontario there is some pyrite down around the Finger Lakes in the shale. By Lake Ontario mostly either granite or clay or sedimentary rocks I guess if you're going to get to the good stuff you have to be near where volcanoes used to be or still are. Some of the Great Lakes Superior have good stuff unfortunately that's not the case here
