- Prior to the event, multiple groups, including the school's NAACP chapter and a group called 'Not Welcome at VCU' said people are willing to walk out of the ceremony when Gov. Youngkin spoke.
That's a bit more than "some."

He was downplay the number of educated simpletons who just got into $100k in debt to get a degree in gender studies etc that they can't get a career in. He sugar coated the number of educated simpletons who told us to go to trade or business school without them saying a word as they walk out on their graduation because freedom of speech didn't end when their snowflake feelings began.

A lot of the comments here are pretty insulting to the students that walked out -- imagine that the future of the department you just graduated from is now uncertain, and the man responsible is giving the speech at your graduation... The students have every right to be upset and peacefully protest.
The mass walk out is in protest to his actions at VCU, as well as the the bans he has already put in place for K-12 education. If he is successful with censoring racial topics in higher education, what stops him from doing so with other topics? As an alum it's pretty alarming to see this unfold.
