The Venezuelan suntiger a very popular spider in the hobby with its jet black colouring and orange/gold flashes in its legs, a New World arboreal spider very easy too care for but can be a little skittish but once happy and secure willl often be seen out on its favourite resting spot.

Brilliant video, the sun tiger is one of my favourite T's. Slightly disappointed mine has turned out to be a male but its still been nice raising em from a sling! Great work on the egg sack removal 👍🏼

What a great video! I love waking up on Mondays and Thursdays, making myself a bagel or perhaps a toast, get some juice, and sit down and watch your video, not really a better way to start the day than with Dave if i being honest. Today was even better because today is a holiday, so naturally, there`s no school today.
Really enjoyed this video Dave! Mom is an absolute gem! Really coll that you pulled te eggsac right as she was opening it herself! Talk about timing! You looked very happy/pleased with that! Rightfully so!
I`m very happy my weekend of work is over, it was long and somewhat stressful, i was alone yesterday and i had a hard time keeping up during the afternoon portion of my shift, hard to keep up with the carts. I worked 1:30PM-11PM on Saturday ( it was supposed to be 10 but i offered to stay an extra hour to get more carts in, get more done ) and 1:30PM-10PM on Sunday, Very happy that it`s over.

Another amazing video and I’ve got a female who was awol for 6 weeks and your advice to just leave her alone helped me to learn to be patient with my Ts and a few days later she emerged absolutely gorgeous black with the striking orange so thanks again Dave 👍

Wonderful! I just lost my first and only arboreal tarantula. It was an A. avic and I only had him for around one and a half years. I want another arboreal to go with my collection of terrestrials and everyone keeps pointing me in the Psalmopoeus direction. 😉 I think that's the direction I'm going to take but just not too sure which one. Great egg sack! I'm glad you shared that one especially because of that hole in the sack. WOW! Mama knew they were ready I believe.

I always love watching the sac removal videos. The eggs with legs are so cute but seeing them coming out of the sac onto your hand was awesome. Mum is beautiful. Happy you had the experience of taking the sac the day she was going to open it and sharing it with us 😀

When I lived up in Far North Queensland we had a Tarantula (Phlogius ssp I think). It had its home under an old rotting plank beside the wet shed where the shower and laundry was. She was a big bugger too. Beautiful.

You couldn't have been any luckier than you were that day. When you found Mum had made a start with opening up her egg sac. Yes, indeed the nymphs were totally mobile. They were very nearly out to be with Mum behind the piece of bark.in her enclosure🕷🕷🕷

Dave, your enthusiasm and passion for the spiders show in each video but this one in particular! Your warm caring genuine smile says it all. You really do love your spiders. You are the ultimate in calmness and gentility. I can't imagine the excitement others have when they know they are getting a spider from that particular spider mama and that egg sac. You've given them the gift of witnessing the 'birth' of their new addition to the family.

What timming with that egg sac removal! Perfect.
Also, you had a couple of baby isopods living on the sac (you can see one escaping away from your finger at 5:35 and another coming up from the bottom at 5:50). I fear those are gonna end up as sling food after the next molt
