That was awesome when you had so many babies after a bad sac. The babies are absolutely adorable. I love the way some are already walking.
    Congratulations to you both.

Disappointing and exciting too ! I love when you do videos about opening the egg sacs, it is absolutely thrilling !! Anxious to see how many slings there are and to watch them grow - thanks Dave your videos never leave us wanting - just wanting more LOL

Man, I’m so impressed. I know this has been your hobby and you’re used to it, but it amazes me how patient you are! A month or more between mating and egg sacks for about every species, it must be so hard to wait for without knowing if it worked!
Edit: that second sack was amazing too: i love how they went from all motion to all still, and then the motion came back like they were doing the wave!

I really like the fact that you don't just show the successes but the failures as well. Not everything always goes to plan and not every pairing gives us the result we'd want.
It's likely playing the lottery, except we're more likely to get a good sac, full of healthy slings rather than win the lottery ;)
Stay safe and thanks for sharing :)

I wonder what happened with the first eggsack who was dry as stone, what can have caused that?! The other spider 🕷 mother did protect her eggsack! Nice to hear about the way mother spider goes about for creating that protective eggsack for her babies. It was a happy event to see the other eggsack with a lot of babies in it! Thank you Dave and Sweet Camera Lady for yet another wonderful video! Happy new week, hugs ❤🥰🤗 from Susanne and Trollet 🐱🐾❤. Take care!

How sad, but these things do happen. Good thing they lay so many eggs at a time to make up for losses. It's such a beautiful spider too. I hope this is the last loss you have to face for a very long time, hopefully forever if we can help it. ♡

Another wonderful video, its a fair point to consider, as humans we have those of us who can conceive by just sitting on the wrong toilet seat lol, and those who are unable even after going through the pain and tribulations of IVF - why wouldn't we consider the same can happen within the animal kingdom. Congratulations on that wonderful egg sack full of beautiful babies, thanks for sharing and all you do for the invert community x

I was gutted when I seen the first sac, with all the hardened babies inside 😞 Funny the way the mummy didn't defend or stop you taking it though. The other female would have tagged you in a heart beat it she had of had the chance 🤔😄
What a cracking sac the second one was though. Lots off babies inside. It was really nice to see them all in their nursery pot, it'll be interesting to see how many end up viable slings 🕷🕷🕷🕷

I was going to say, my heart dropped when you opened the first egg sac. But when you opened the second one I cheered :-) - holy cow those are gorgeous looking babies! These seem like they have quite a bit of get up and go/attitude (if that's a thing for tarantulas?). At this stage - would you feed these babies fruit flies or tiny dubia roaches? Are there different nutritional/dietary needs when they are this young vs. as they mature? Thank you for the great content as always!

amazing amount of babies in the second sac. So glad that it wasn’t like the first sac. Could the first sac not being viable be down to the male not having a good pairing or is there a chance that if he was an older and his sperm was not as good? Or if he was a young male was his sperm production up to the levels needed to produce viable babies? It is fascinating how the first female let you just take the egg sac so easily. It was as if she knew it was no good. Also how the second female was very protective of hers.
I find it interesting and very curious as to why one sac was good and the other not. I wonder if there is anyway of finding out if a male is sterile. What an interesting idea that would be for the arachnid boffins to have a look at.
Excellent video as always and the excitement in both of your voices when you said we have movement. Like proud parents watching a scan and see their baby move.
