Yes, it is called a saddle blanket. At least that is what I was taught growing up. In a trailer they show a horse lay down to let a child climb on. In that terrain, it can seriously damage a horse's leg. I have seen a horse fracture her leg lifting an idiot like that. They should have had them get on via climbing up the coral fence, a step stool, or have an adult help them up.
