To be fair, it may be a dead end when you can reach the top of your career in a sim week 😂
Yeah this happened to my sims, his job was also just stressing him out in general, he had a degree so after he maxed out the career I made him join the education career since you can work from home with that career and he was fine as long as he never went in for work

I wish they would add some finesse to that. Fear of dead end job the same day they got a promotion? It's obviously an oversight and needs fixing. I like whims, and earning satisfaction points with them, but they got updated in a bad way when they added fears (can't cancel out one to get a new one) and they get disabled when you disable fears. I'm very annoyed.
@@troberts1yes! I love whims cause it gives me some direction to play but you can’t use them without getting fears and the fears are just way too easy to get. The amount of times my sims get dead end job is so incredibly annoying that I’ve just turned it off entirely
Ever since wants and fear came out, i had them disabled and i still get them. I absolutely hate it, its so annoying

I found a way to disable them again! what you do is you reenable them, apply settings, then disable them
unfortunately you have to do it very often (after loading the game, after exiting cas, after travelling sometimes) it’s very annoying

After one of my chickens died I knew I couldn't do that again 😅
It doesn't work anyways. My animals continue to age and eventually die even with aging disabled

My favorite one to disable to neighborhood action plans from eco lifestyle. Only I choose what I want to pass now. Sims can’t steal my stuff without my permission!

@@christoferdrewrocks1 yeah, no, it doesnt replace that. Ive had the pack since the day it came out and people are making a big deal out of nothing, they say its way more broken than it actually is. You can have a normal wedding without all the extra people such as an officiant or bridesmaids.
@@yelloworange3125 it does replace the old wedding system though. I’ve seen it from other sim players and game changers. That’s the only reason I won’t get it. I love the old weddings because you get gifts and such after you get a gold medal wedding. I’m not interested in the new gameplay. Absolutely love the new cas and build/buy though. Plus my wedding story is still buggy- playable now, but still buggy
My God, I had doozy of a time with eco life. The neighborhood vote thing kept staying on everyone's a kleptomaniac. All furniture everywhere I went had to keep getting replaced because everyone kept "borrowing" it. It was horrible.
To be fair, if an almighty God kept magically replacing everything, we'd all be borrowing stuff too lmao

The glitch that EA now refuses to fix is the excessive mean interactions sims do- I don't want to have to be ontop of the relationship between my wolves the whole time I play-

I know! I had to patch up q relationship between fated mates because of this! Then I had to do the same for thier twins!
If you have mcc command center u can disable autonomous mean interactions.
My selfsim was just randomly beat up by the Sim version of my mom. I'm not out here trying to relive my childhood, EA 😭

The lifestyles cannot be disabled. It literally doesn't disable. I'm trying to roleplay and my sims are complaining about not achieving any life goals and like bitch me too, but please. Not now...

I need the Highschool pack to stop making every Sim I meet stop by & ask to be Best Friends. My sim already has a best friend & is tired of breaking everyone's heart including Santa Claus.
I disabled Bust The Dust after 20 minutes because no matter how much I cleaned it kept building more and more
Its hands down the worst pack theyve ever released. Vacuuming takes 10 ingame hours and its dusty again within the day my sims cant do anything else 😫
Sucks they have never gone back and added a disable story mode for strangerville, I can’t get cheats to work anymore and it’s tedious to have to use them or complete the story, in every. Single. Save. At this point I just don’t use the town anymore, even tho it’s truly one of my favorites to live in
Same, I want to disable the story... I hate that everytime my sim visit her sister in Strangeville she gets infected!!!
Do one savefile then do that cheat to the one savefile then copy the savefile every time you want to start a new game.
Unfortunately right now even if i disable my farm animals from aging they still die. It has been happening to me ever since highschool years

I've always had mine dying even when disabled and don't have HSY - I think it is an EA bug.

My sims keep getting the “fear of unfulfillment” and I’m so tired of them getting angry or depressed for no reason because of that. My sims will have great careers with loving families in big houses and they’ll still get those mood swings. Smh

On god I had one sim ask my sim if she should have babies and I said sure why not and from then on almost every other day she was calling my sim asking if she should have a baby

I'm so glad I know this now. I hate some of the environmental changes that came with seasons and was considering Uninstalling it but I liked the other features. This will make it a keeper, thank you
I heard for MWS it overall breaks the wedding option. I heard from people who even uninstalled the pack after getting it the option was still broke and they could only elope. I’ll probably never buy that pack now. 💀💀

I didn’t know you could disable npcs from getting into relationships lol I play with my ocs from stories I have which I find so much more fun and it gives me ideas for my stories - but as I was playing I got a call from one of my other characters saying she was purposed by her girlfriend (one of my other main ocs) and I was like what 😀 I think we skipped a chapter lol. It’s fine but I def didn’t expect that… she also asked my sim to be her maid of honour, everything is going way too fast help
HS years and MWS literally broke everything, even turning off certain settings doesn't work anymore 💀 I wish I could turn off the gameplay for those packs and just keep the build-buy

i love eco lifestyle, and for some reason they never steal my furniture
All the things I want “off” require mods because the Sims is just that good at letting us turn off irritating things 🥴
OMG THANK YOU! I did not know how to disable anything in the Sims, I thought you could only use cheats and I don't have cheats because I'm using Xbox One to play Sims 😭✋
You can use cheats on Xbox one, it's not the same as the PC ones, look up the instructions for Turing on cheats, it's a specific order of buttons then a cheat code to turn on cheat codes 😂, I haven't used them in so long cause I normally play legacy and money struggles keep it interesting for me

I disable wants and fears so often and it just glitches back on. It’ll say it if but it’s literally on and it gets so annoying to have to turn it off again and again so I leave it on most times.
i was in brindleton bay the other day and my sim was petting her dog when i noticed Bella Goth strolling around, VERY MUCH PREGNANT, and the next in game day apparently she had twins 😂
I loved the idea of relationship autonomy, but what killed it for me was sims constantly asking to be my best friend. I finally just turned it off. So glad I did, as I haven't found a mod for it.
I have this problem except intead of it asking to be friends its constantly having my sims be mean even though they don't have the mean aspiration-

I like the eco lifestyle pack. Not my favourite pack, but it's up there and it isn't broken (like a game pack we all know about) ,however, how do I get rid of the Sims that come to my house and are like "Oh your house is not good it has this and your bills are going to rise because of it" because it is so annoying. Like I'm just trying to play and suddenly I have to pay 2,000 more simoleons than I did before, like I barely have enough as it is. Sorry for my rant, but please tell me how to get rid of this.
Short of complying with the NAPs your best bet is to disable them or change all the ones that require having certain appliances or items. Like they'll fine you for not having a bee box in the garden and not owning a recycler or solar panels, but no one fines you for not participating in Free Love or failing to bake a dozen white cakes a day.
How do I disable sims from my unplayed households moving into homes? I have neighborhood stories turned off but they still move into empty homes.
I have the same problem, I have a lot of mansions and some sims of unplayed households move there even when I have neighborhood stories lol
Have you tried going into the gameplay settings and unchecking the fill empty homes box? If you have MC command center I know that forces sims to fill homes too so that could be the case.
There is an option to fill empty houses in the game settings, so make sure that's not checked! Other than that, if you have mods it might be causing that to happen as well
I have the same problem but I have the “fill empty homes” unchecked but still they get full 🤷🏻♀️
I found a thing that works so Sims don't move to empty houses - the trick is to go to the empty lots you don't want anyone to move to and set the number of bathrooms and bedrooms both to zero (in the info panel with traits, lot types and stuff). The houses then are seen as non-livable lots for the Sims, and so no one moves there. For me, this is definitely a life-saver, so hope it helps you as well! ^^
Can I somehow disable holidays? I don't always have time for that and then all my sims are sad because the day was a failure

You could probably delete them from the calendar
You can edit the holiday to really simple things/stuff they'd be doing anyway - even if it doesn't match the IRL spirit of that holiday

I wish there was a way to turn off the weird plant sickness stuff from strangerville and to automatically have your islands perfect in Sulani.
Ejem ejem. Bust the dust. And, as a builder, the fact that adding a washing machine will automatically make my sims make dirty clothes and throw them on the ground all throughout the house 😭
And DUST! I bought the dust kit, I needed the vacuums... for realism. Not the never ending dust cycle... that’s too much realism. (It’s my game, I get to say when it’s enough real 🤨) We can disable dust! 😮everyone is happy 😊

@@vapeguy8891 I know they’re still in build mode and they can be placed in houses, but honestly I’ve never actually tried to vacuum since disabling dust - I’ll try that and update you in a little while!
I was super reluctant to get Laundry Day because laundry in Sims 3 was just as aggressive and I didn't want that chore. We're talking huge stinking piles anytime I visited a house. Turns out you hardly need to do it in 4.

I had to disable thunderstorms and snowstorms... my sims could never go out since it was always thundering out, rain is fine but thunderstorms 3 days in a row when I have chickens to feed and cows to milk it's not ok

UNLESS there IS no option to disable, like sentiments in the snowy escape pack. those were also added to basegame, therefore there is no option to disable. Fears also - no disable option. Not happy about it.....

The dust and all of the Eco living/lifestyle/whatever pack are the only ones I automatically disable with every save.
It's a nice reminder but sometimes I want to see the chaos ensues. And that chaos is a family of 6 sims living in a 1 bedroom 1 bathroom house in a 20×15 lot.
im doing this for the fears two of my sims have "fear of dead-end job" and "fear of unfulfilled dreams". its so annoying that they are tense, very angry, and sad all the time

i hope u can disable them being scared and stuff because i have these two sims in seperate families that are scared 24/7 every day of everything.
they are scared of silence, the dark, sometimes pure nothingness and anytime i check of the diff families and check them they are scared. running around the house. hiding under their sheets or shouting at someone and passing on them being scared🙂🙃

Unfortunately no. You could go through and delete all of the mermaids though
I wish we could disable that thing from snowy escape where your sims have a +10 fine moodlet that prevents your sims from feeling any other emotions. It's incredibly annoying when I'm trying to get my sim to feel a certain emotion so they can improve a certain skill faster, plus it's just boring.
You can also disable packs completely, James Turner had a tutorial on how to do it

It's so insane to me that we're expected to spend 40 bucks on a pack just to have to manually disable some of the functions of that pack because they're terrible.
My husband offered to get me two new sims packs for my birthday, because I've started building on sims again recently, but I just can't do it. I can't justify spending 80 freaking bucks for such a small amount ofcontent. .

I like making big families in my games and typically it’s a single mom or a couple but the dad works (still actively helping out). AND GETTING THE “Fear of dead end job” IS ANNOYING- Like, I get when kids get the “fear of the dark” or “fear of fires” one cause they come from reasons.
But the fear of dead end job is so unnecessary half the time 😰
The effects it has on my game are called game-breaking bugs.
Pretty sure that can't be fixed in the settings :)

the first time I started playing I didn't know this and now my first save (and the one I play the most) doesn't have any of the original townies because they died :c

Ugh my sims keep fearing the dark even after disabling the wants and fears mechanic. Also, is there a way to stop the calls for advice from your friends/acquaintances. I get calls everyday from the same 2-3 people on who they should get to know/ask out on a date/should they leave their job. Leave me alone!
