I've never stopped watching this vid and it'll never get old to me. REST IN PARADISE DOOM
I will make sure my kids ( if i have any ) remember THE SUPERVILLAIN.
Paradise indeed, eating at a table of kings.
Legit. It came up and I'm like,"I've seen this" and then I'm like, "and..?"

cancape the producers netflix
u can never listen too much bro
cancape I can relate 😂
No such thing as too much DOOM.
True
Deadass about started crying. DOOM played a huge role in my taste of music and opened me to new sounds and styles. RIP to a real one, he’s with his son and brother now.
Eye Feel That.
Hip Hop Saved My Life
I feel ya, DOOM was the main artist that inspired me to get back into music. Since then I've felt for like my life finally has some sort of meaning. Without ever knowing it or meaning to DOOM changed my life and no doubt many others. For me more than anything he embodied the power of being yourself, authentic. One of the realest to ever live, forever grateful to the Villain and his dastardly deeds.
@@TayTayMakesBeats salute
I would have never actually gotten into music or hip hop at all without DOOM. Rest In Power a legend
One of my fav things to see is DOOM dapping up Tyler, Earl, the next generation
Aesop & Greenhouse*
@@TrustTheShooters !!!!!!!!!!!!
@@TrustTheShooters Aesop yes… and clearly YOU are Greenhouse
@@jeffreybarry4694 thanks?
Simplicity is genius. He mostly just pitches up samples and adds rough 90s drums. his sample choices is what makes him and Madlib some of the best
let the lyrics work
A true fuckin artist man, half of these are crate digs from the deepest depths of hell, the other half from saturday morning cartoons, this man really created with no one but himself in mind rip the super villian
Bless your crate digging heart!
I love how pretty much all of these are from the 70s
What an insane decade for sampling
Absolute Facts. Lol
The best decade for/of music creation
Odir Aru id say 2010s and 1990s are close also, album wisd
im comin in a year later but its due to the sampling process and tech used at the time (using records and physical recording/beatmaking instruments instead of compact online ones like FL studios). Not to mention the fact that this was also the time they grew up and and the music they wouldve heard growing up
my therapist: spinning DOOM isn’t real, he can’t hurt you
spinning DOOM: 7:18
LOOL!!
4:43 is what got me into producing. Speechless producer as well as a lyricist. RIP DOOM, Dilla, Malachi Ezekiel and Subroc forever
Well hope you're having a great time rn yo. R .I.P. DOOM, Dilla, Malachi, Subroc, etc.
OK but that Scooby-Doo flip took me off guard, that was really unique. RIP THE VILLAIN.
Lord Finesse did it a decade before Doom.
Alright calm down
I feel like I’m listening yo adult swim
HAHA FIRE!!
The Hey! flip is the greatest thing ever.
The ‘Angelz’ sample is absolutely brilliant. Doom is a freaking genius
Still the best rapper anyways, with or without a budget. Most expensive item in Doom video is his mask. And he rented the camera for a week and Shoots for 3 days maximizing profit. Spend money on sample clearances, OR NOT.
Facts
I'm gonna miss this man. He was so heavily underrated, even with the whole underground on his side. REST IN POWER DOOM, as you have influenced some of the most popular artists, you have now achieved world domination. RIP
I think the King Geedorah album and MM FOOD album are still my all-time favorite albums period.
Yeaah I feel like the king geedorah album is kinda slept on really. Absolute classic
Anti Matter is my all time favorite DOOM track and that's saying something. The entire album is just amazing from start to finish.
@@adambrowne01 Render unto Geedorah what is Geedorah's..
@@adambrowne01 I feel like 3/4 of the album was just skits that’s my main problem with the album RIP DOOM btw
Yeah
I was 16 when I discovered the villain. 15 years later, still the most interesting sampling I've ever heard. With the most interesting persona. His beats give you chills, his lyrics make you think. He was never underrated by any real hip hop fans. Its a craft, that he definitely mastered. R.I.P DOOM. You will surely be missed and never forgotten.
"Hey!" Just smacks on so many levels...
It's crazy he got so many samples from such a huge discography before the digital age. His record library must have been massive!

Special Herbs has unforgettable beats, I’m forever grateful that I got to hear them
Me and my boy flipped shit when we heard "hey" in my VW Jetta. I swore I wore the CD out. Along with red and gold.
Sounds Like Some Fun Times Lol
What Year Was This?
Red and Gold is my top 5 rap tracks ever, impossibly good! And to think OD also has Gas Drawls, Doomsday, Dead Bent, ?, Rhymes Like Dimes, Hey! and Operation Greenbacks, all on the same album! Only Illmatic compares and that had Nas in his prime and a bunch of the most respected producers in the game putting work in - OD was a one madman gig! Imagine that, DOOM the greatest ever for sure and it's not even close
The 70s really inspired doom, and I'm glad he showed his influences to everyone else wearing them on his sleeve, made for some great music
Operation doomsday is my all time favorite album by DOOM. Those beats he made are still timeless.

Rest in peace The Greatest Villain....
Bless his soul one of the most pure forces of creation this world has ever seen MF DOOM Rhyming In Paradise!
So much cartoons, Doom was a genuine nerd :)
I just found out he passed away... I cried . He gave me a real perception of what REAL rap is. This is one of biggest losses to humanity and rap-music in general. His music lives in my head and soul and always gives me joy. Rest in Peace Daniel Dumile and thank you for everything.
I remember rewatching the Spiderman series and hearing DOOMs theme that he flipped and all the vocal samples
8:11 "Star Anis" Is also known as "No Snakes Alive" I love listening to the beat but the raps are also heat.
Holy shit! I never knew that ab soul Book of Soul beat was a DOOM beat!
I never knew that "Pennyroyal - Joey Bada$$" was a doom beat either

That's Dope Bro
Tell Ya Boy I Said Good looking!!

MF DOOM the perfect example of the villain being more powerful (lyrically) than the heros to make the plot interesting.
Pennyroyal is probably my favorite flip because of how well the drums and what doom did to the sample amplify it. SAme with Valerian Root.
that Quincy sample is still absolutely insane
His IQ must have been so high, his rhyme style and timing, his samples were insane, to be able to flip those sample, to know what to dig, I'm sure most rappers wouldn't have picked those beats, because they don't have that IQ.
Bro this is giving me hard nostalgia from high school. Im humming every beat but don't remember one name of the songs. You know the feeling. Rip a legend, he literally made me cool becuase nobody knew who he was back then so I looked sly. Thx for that king. RIP 🙏
Such a lost art, if anyone can recommend people keeping this alive lmk. I think it’s epic. Especially if you have some kind of connection with the tracks chosen to sample.
I love this video so much. I have always had a deep appreciation of Doom’s production. I listen to the special herbs volumes a lot because of his masterful work with beats.

Every time you really listen to DOOM lyrics you hear something new.

I love this video for 1 reason in particular. Even if you're only 2 minutes in and try to come back, after going and listening to the original song, this video automatically starts you from the beginning.

Haha
Glad You Made It Here Man
Wish you happiness for such work!
Thank you for doing this, I stayed till the end.
The sample used in Pennyroyal, originally from "Cathedral" by Galt Macdermot is my favorite sample of all time. I do not know what it is about it, but that damn loop gets stuck in my mind over and over and over again and I'm constantly replaying it and loving it. Also started listening to Galt Macdermot as a result and dig his music, and I couldn't be more thankful.
So many absolute bops, the creativity it took to make the most of all these samples
Binge watching these beat flips. RIP DOOM
