The Story behind "We Three Kings of Orient Are"

The first American carol published in England, perhaps due to its archaic flavor, "We Three Kings of Orient Are" was composed by John Henry Hopkins, an Episcopal priest, as a Christmas gift for his nieces and nephews. It is one of forty-seven carols and songs showcased in AMERICAN CHRISTMAS CLASSICS, a boxed set collection with three CDs and lavishly illustrated coffee table book.
