  • The first American carol published in England, perhaps due to its archaic flavor, "We Three Kings of Orient Are" was composed by John Henry Hopkins, an Episcopal priest, as a Christmas gift for his nieces and nephews. It is one of forty-seven carols and songs showcased in AMERICAN CHRISTMAS CLASSICS, a boxed set collection with three CDs and lavishly illustrated coffee table book.
