I am a sikh, yet I like this hymn, very soothing it is.
Growing up in a catholic school back home and “coerced” to sing this along with everyone else… never thought I’d miss the beauty of it all. Something I can’t explain to my kids and even wife

It left out the myrrh. There are three magi and three gifts. Three for the Trinity, and three in the role of Christ. King, God, and sacrifice. Gold is for the king. Frankincense is for God. Myrrh is for the tomb, for the sacrifice.

FANTASTIC! I was born in Brazil and grew up listening all these songs since I was 5. During 4 years I was Balthasar one of the three kings at primary school Christmas Theater Play. BEAUTIFUL.

I think this is beautiful
At about 9 years old I was forced to sing this solo as I walked alone towards the alter. I had a horrible voice but was given no choice. Praise God for the memories.
