Thanks again I just got one ordered and on the way. The kit is only $10 more than just the esc. Also I am super excited to upgrade to a nano bam at some point.
Wow my c10 has so many weight upgrades and I have the Injora pro motor, I want this kit for the smoother throttle modulation, is it a lot stronger than the brushed motors?
Video idea(?): I'm planning on a Cedar for my TRX4M K10 High Trail. I'm going to try it with stock gears first to see how the crawl might be. I installed the crawler gears and it crawls great. But now it's not great for trails, walks or hikes. Too slow. Maybe, the Cedar brushless and stock gears might be the answer.
Good to see they're offering a lower cost option. Their stuff is impressive but it's often hard to justify spending as much as another truck on an upgrade. Wonder why the FX118 can take 3s but this can't?
Adam did it make noise? Adam,”it’s a noisy little build!” My daughters have the gladiator and one of them makes more noise than I would prefer! Great vid!
That's great I've always wanted furitek but my budget right now is nill, wife is back in college so I'm the only check coming in, oldest is in 7th grade little girl is in 1st grade and my twin boys are in kindergarten so my money has to go a long ways and my rc budget has been suspended until further notice, but like all dads, I got a rat hole, a very small one at the moment but I could probably swing it.
Maybe set up the motor selection in the App to the venom motor after every switch "on". Even that you have changed your Job, your clips are still often online --> top
Good video.....but could you do something more detailed about the install? It seems that the motor can't fit in the stock orientation without modifying the chassis/mounting plates? Am I correct that its not a direct drop-in? I have a Deadbolt which I'd love to brushless but there is NO space under the hood and I don't want to cut anything or move too much around. My ocd likes direct drop-ins lolol. Thanks in advance.
I want this now!!! But im a little scared to go brushless cuz im just not sure what to get or whats important to know. Could you maybe do a brushless 101?
This would be a great upgrade for my Gladiator. Just need to find unlocked axles since I'm not much of a crawler but really like the size and looks of the 24th scale.
Fms axles have a diffential option, I'm also working on a comprehensive suspension kit for this gladiator platform to convert to fms axles and cantliver rear suspension aswell as some other goodies for stock axles and cantilever rear 😉 sooo much more travel, comparable to the telescoping shocks but with full oil damping!
I wish the motor was waterproof and the esc. I just got the hobbywing fusion se which was 80 bucks for mu scx10 iii gladiator and it’s completely waterproof
How is the clearance from the lower link to the motor? I'm looking into running a Brushless in my Truck and currently the 55T brushed motors case comes into contact with the link just behind the mounting eye. Stock skid, Injora High clearance links with a droop setup. My hope is to keep from having to space the shock upward and lose some of my LCG.
My micro Komodo is loud like this i toned it down with i little mesh adjustment and believe it or not a tiny i squirt of wd40 into the bottom of the transmission.
Your gear mesh is way too tight making all that noise, tough to get just right. Don't wait to update, I never could tune out the cogging in my Micro Komodo when transitioning from FOC to Hammer Time, but the latest firmware makes it far better.
I'm new to the hobby and just bought the new SCX24 Power Wagon as my first unit and don't know much about receivers yet. Would I need to upgrade the Power Wagons receiver to run this?
It should work on the power wagon. I just checked out the receiver/esc on the power wagon and it has the Thr input (ch2) and that’s what you need to run the system. So I would confidently say it will work on the new power wagon and ax24
I see the esc has the logo on the case yet the esc in my fury truck that burnt out 5 minutes out the box taking the venom motor with it did not have the logo on the case , I'm suspicious as to where these esc are being made and are we getting genuine parts . And yes the venom motor is very noisy and quite irritating in doors .
Hey Adam quick question. I changed the body on my deadbolt to a hard body plastic chevy extreme that I believe is made by Nitto. But, my problem is that the hard plastic is thicker than the stock lexan body, what suggestions might you have for body posts and clips? Or would suggest some other method securing the body onto the chasis?
Thanks for the reply I hadn’t really considered anything but the magnets sounds pretty good. Ill try it and its gotta be better than the elastic hair tie im using now

Is furitek USA a reliable website to buy this from?
I have been waiting for this one. I found a great deal on this setup just waiting to see a review. Thank you!

Put the drag break to 0 and the motor will cool off and you'll get longer battery. No need for it with the worm gears
I’ll try that!
I just ordered this kit and it should be here in a week. It’ll be my 5th brushless set up
Wow my c10 has so many weight upgrades and I have the Injora pro motor, I want this kit for the smoother throttle modulation, is it a lot stronger than the brushed motors?
Thanks for letting us all know about this new system. Just what we needed for sure...
I love my grizzly works lcg kits. I put them on my nephews rigs too cause well you know 😂thanks again as always Adam for bring the heat

It can't either. Well, it's not recommended. If you want to use 3s they advice to use it only for a short period of time, not permanent
Would love to see you try this in an AX24
convince them to make a budget waterproof combo that runs on 2S 👀
Bought the combo a few weeks ago and waiting for it to arrive. I’m building AX24 XC-1 in a Slayer Chassis
How is that so far that's exactly what I want to do?
Adam did it make noise?
Adam,”it’s a noisy little build!”
My daughters have the gladiator and one of them makes more noise than I would prefer! Great vid!
Awesome little gladiator. Cant wait to see that system on a trx4m.

This is sitting in my cart along with skids for the fx118 however I snagged a fairRc mystery box before they were all gone......
Those sounded good last night. A builders kit for that price would be nice

Damn wish this was there when I first went brushless, especially with the new LGRP tx/rx
I want this now!!! But im a little scared to go brushless cuz im just not sure what to get or whats important to know.
Could you maybe do a brushless 101?
i run an injora 50t in my stock Gladiator. can you/how do you customize your drag brake with the stock truck? Love the video.
Thanks for watching! I don’t believe you can adjust the drag brake with stock electronics
This would be a great upgrade for my Gladiator. Just need to find unlocked axles since I'm not much of a crawler but really like the size and looks of the 24th scale.
Fms max smasher axles are open diff

I got a furitek setup coming for a mini b pro roller. It’s going to be a little bullet.
Does this system provide more torque than the stock? Added a bunch of brass and now seems to be taking more throttle to get her moving.
How fast is it? Does it make it walking speed now? Like the furitek?
I wish the motor was waterproof and the esc. I just got the hobbywing fusion se which was 80 bucks for mu scx10 iii gladiator and it’s completely waterproof

can i still use the stock remote? or do I have to order a new transmitter and receiver?
My micro Komodo is loud like this i toned it down with i little mesh adjustment and believe it or not a tiny i squirt of wd40 into the bottom of the transmission.
Yeah, this sounds like gear noise more than motor noise.
Are your drive shafts stock? I have the Injora ones, and i believe they are longer.
Can you buy the motor mount separately and just buy a fx118 and drop all new electrics in the fcx24
What is the top speed now? I like to zoom between obstacles and stock is slowwww.
Your gear mesh is way too tight making all that noise, tough to get just right.
Don't wait to update, I never could tune out the cogging in my Micro Komodo when transitioning from FOC to Hammer Time, but the latest firmware makes it far better.
I had a wicked time getting it to mesh at all. That little motor was stubborn! I’ll revisit it to see if I can quiet it down
Takes me a good 10 min to get mesh right. Seems like i always get it to adjust from too tight to too much room. Takes some time to get it just right.
I'm new to the hobby and just bought the new SCX24 Power Wagon as my first unit and don't know much about receivers yet. Would I need to upgrade the Power Wagons receiver to run this?
I’m curious about this too! Maybe we have a gen 3 receiver because it is also black but not the v1 or v2
It should work on the power wagon. I just checked out the receiver/esc on the power wagon and it has the Thr input (ch2) and that’s what you need to run the system. So I would confidently say it will work on the new power wagon and ax24
@CapeCrawlers Awesome, thank you. The AX24 is the next unit I am planning on buying, so that's good to know.
Hey do you have any recommendations on starting a channel of my own
I have lots. Shoot me an email and I’ll give you some more info
@@CapeCrawlers cool what’s the email
And you also made my day week actually buy replying to my comment
I like the sounds lol bring personality
what do you recommend doing when the stock esc goes out?
What shocks are you running? Will they fit a Deadbolt?
In this video I was running the Nexxracing oil shocks. Yes they will fit a deadbolt
Did you use stock trans with this, even with the motor mount?
And can it work with the stock remote too? I’m think about getting one
Looks pretty good for the price that you're paying.
Iv noticed youve never done approach and departure angle on your test table is it an oversight or do you not for a reason?
I should do it. No particular reason why I don’t
Valid question
Ffffffrick yes 🙌🏼
Pretty noisy. Makes the same sound on the fury wagon. I wonder if it sounds like this in the trx4m. Hmm
Wow that's loud! I have a furitek with a 66t brushed motor in my deadbolt that matches your speed and is whisper quiet. Why the loud whine?
I think my gear mesh is too tight. I’m going to try to fix it this weekend
@@CapeCrawlersdid this work?
Will it plug and play with the new Scx24 power wagon stick electronics?
Yes I believe it will
Hey Adam quick question.
I'm not Adam, but have you considered trying magnet mounts? That's generally what I use when mounting custom bodies.
Thanks for the reply I hadn’t really considered anything but the magnets sounds pretty good. Ill try it and its gotta be better than the elastic hair tie im using now
Wish i could attach an image since it looks really slick as a chevy extreme on the deadbolt chassis
It has SSD hole wheels and mickey thompson baja tires
It sounds really cool. I always like seeing different bodies rather than the 5 or 6 we are use to.
ESC is very good but the motor makes much noise for its size
Didn't expect it to be that loud.
Could be my gear mesh. I’ll revisit it this weekend
Noisy and getting hot, could the mesh be a tad tight? I may well gave to get this setup 😀
That would make sense. I had a heck of a time getting it to mesh up at all
@@CapeCrawlers It always take me a while to get the mesh right
Do you think it will shoehorn into the injora buggy chassis
Yes I think you could fit it easy enough
Is AXI31620 the right receiver for the plug and play?
Yes exactly
@@CapeCrawlers thank you I’m new to all of this last rc I had RadioShack was still a thing in the states (on the east coast)
Would this work on the fcx24 smasher platform?
It would not, but furitek has a plug and play brushless system for that truck. It costs a bit more (~$150 I think) but it’s a great setup
Thank you for the quick reply!
I like your shirt
One of my favorites 💪🏻
Nice
That noise is from the motor ?
Yes, but not the motors fault, my mesh is too tight I think
@@CapeCrawlers Thats what i was thinking/asking, gear too tight...
Looks a bit jumpy :(
seemed jumpy
What a bummer a NEW product only works with OLDER electronics.
It works with the new ax24 and power wagon setup also
That’s way louder than it should be for a brushless system
I need to check my mesh. Could be user error
90$ dollars is budget
