Yeah, that’s why I’m saying this, Jim Parsons’ way of writing the formula was wrong because the way he wrote it doesn’t make sense (firstly it isn’t the right formula, as you said and as you can see on James’ correct one, and secondly even if there were a formula like Jim’s it wouldn’t make sense because multiplying B by B and then dividing the result you just obtained, by B gives you B so it’s pointless to write it). No, those who do not learn math have an impoverished life. You have no right to criticize the pleasures of knowing high level math because you've never done it before. Meanwhile many mathematicians partied, did drugs, drank in their youth, and still go on vacation, etc. By comparison, most who know math would agree that only sex and food top mathematical pleasure (and considering most mathematicians are married with children at a higher rate than normal, please none of this "virgin nerds" childishness I've been seeing around these comments). Just because you don't appreciate it don't look down on the people that do. Because we all think you live an incredibly sad life.

Most people do just basic maths, not a lot go on to do A level or degrees. It's pretty naive and petty to hate Maths, it can help you do a lot of good things like quickly being able to work out how much is the best amount of fuel to put into your car for the distance you want to go, or for forensic scientists that need to know how to calculate the velocity of bullets or thrown weapons for criminal cases or even medical scientists that work on cures for diseases and treatment for some conditions. These people have to know Maths to better our lives.
Then there are those less fortunate 3rd world children who would literally give their live to go to school and learn other languages or maths or music. Honestly in my opinion if you absolutely outright *hate* Maths you are a petulant, spoilt douchebag.

People are good at different things, you shouldn't be disappointed in others because they don't know the things you do, especially when both clearly explained they either don't know maths very well or have a basic to slightly higher than average level of knowledge.
You ALSO shouldn't be saying things like that, when you have quite CLEARLY a higher level of ability in the subject than most people on the planet.
People should know the basics and that's it. Add, subtract, divide, multiply, length, weight, volume, distance, percentages and whatever other basic things you need to get through life. Anything that doesn't come into daily life nor would you reasonably use at work, is EXTRA.
That's for people with a good level of knowledge. Most people can go over the basics and learn formulas and algebra a bit, but it's not anything someone SHOULD be deemed to know.
It shows how arrogant you are that you, who is at a higher level than most people, is looking down on people because they're not at the same level as you.

alex jackson Math is literally just logic. Saying mathematics is shit is saying logic is shit.
Im not implying that I'm good at it or anything. I just wish people would realize math is an integral part of nearly every field out there, either directly or indirectly.

The Billa I most certainly am not proud of being bad at it, I just acknowledge that it's NEVER been one of my strengths. Like ever😩 by the grace of god and doing my best I made it through school. A smooth C, hated the grade but I just don't get math.

well, I'm definitely not proud of being bad at math, but it's just hard for me to understand.. and YES I know it's logic, and believe me- if my math teachers were ACTUALLY EXPLAINING THE LOGIC behind everything I would understand- I am just not the type to swallow everything I get told, I really need to know WHY I do what I do.. and anyway unfortunately, they aren't and I don't.. I honestly think math is cool, but I struggle with it and it makes it hard for me to enjoy it.

The circle song is the best
      This is a circle
it knows how to get around
it has a radius from centre to rim
the diameters a line that goes from side to side while passing through the centre
      now isn't that simple?
Πr^2 sounds like area to me
if I need a circumference I just use Πd

Nor is it "Equations", as they only spoke of 1.
