That's quite a unique take on the usual "the floor is lava" trope and the execution was as great as always.

Maybe another one where the ground is liquid oxygen. Which is even colder and of course is an oxidizer.

I'd love to see an actual level or even world with these mechanics, watching what turns to ice, what will melt your platforms, what platforms will float through the nitrogen, and trying to balance your chill meter by grabbing coins. Definitly has a lot of potential for an ice themed world, but would also be quite difficult.
And the fact characters would stand in safe spots would make the Mario universe more lively in a way.
@@Nova_Ghost_Gameryeah I could see it, since while waiting wouldn't be the best mechanic, it would equally balance the fast parts of each level with somewhat slower aspects of the level where you would have to slow down and watch what's happening.
There will also be objects and/or enemies that can be useful if broken/melted free from the ice, like Bob-Ombs, keys, or Birdo.
@EatAnOctorok yeah, I can imagine a respawning fire flower so you could possibly melt some objects. Firebars and bombs could also spawn in case the level designer doesn't want to give the player a fire flower. These could also lower your chill meter if you stand close to them.

First we had radiation, in which the bar in the left corner showed the radiation level and if it was completed, Mario would die from the radiation, now we have nitrogen, if the bar fills up he freezes to death, Level Up really is very creative in mechanics that he puts in his videos, I want Nintendo to hire him to make levels immediately.

Death tips:
-That Goomba was up there for a reason.
-Ice is slippery. Also, just spitballing here, cold.
-Metal conducts temperature. Best not to stay on it.
-Even the LN2's vapors will freeze you inside out. Don't ask me how coins heat you up.
-Ice is slippery. Don't try to climb it.
-Once the bomb gets going, it's not slowing down. Be quick on the obstacles.
-It's in your best interest to keep the big frozen bomb un-primed.
-Hot stuff + explosive = kaboom. If weighing it down doesn't work, try removing the buoyancy.
Bonus:
-You are so lucky you were on the fringe of that.
