I thought the same with Trump, “I’m curious as to how he’d do as president.” I didn’t vote for him, never would. Years ago he was on Oprah, The Art Of The Deal came out. Something everyone seems to forget is that President Biden has had a stutter issue with his speech his entire life. Such speech issues tend to get worse with: age, strong emotion, exhaustion, etc. So in official interviews where the interviewer going off script or at press briefing & the President takes bit to answer it’s likely due to the fact he is formulating & repeating his response mentally to decrease the odds of him stuttering when speaking it. This is common among people & especially males who stutter…and used to often lead to teachers believing they were autistic…when they simply had a speech issue. Rambling about familiar topics, memories or stories they’ve told many times is also a coping method to buy a stutter time or to distract from questions about a topic they haven’t prepared & rehearsed a response to. This is likely also WHY many of President Biden’s public statements/responses seem “canned”…bc they are. Due to the fact that stuttering is viewed by many Americans & especially several other countries to mean that person is less intelligent(not true at all!)or at the very least that if someone stutters it much be bc they’re nervous(also not always true!) the President tries to minimize how much it shows. Even though he has been open about having a stutter.
So I think a lot…NOT all…of the comments about the way President Biden speaks is unfair & doesn’t take into account his proven speech issues. However he DOES tend to often ramble & get distracted from topics. But how much, if any, of that is legit vs how much is intentional is unknown. BC nearly everyone who does or has worked closely with him describes him as very sharp. I truly hate the nickname(aka insult)of “slow joe” many in the media has given him due to the way he speaks. But slower speech cadence is normal in those with a stutter. So basically they are making fun of someone with a handicap…yet no one is upset about it. Why??

It takes awareness of the words and phrases that cause the voice to catch, and it takes the ability to think far ahead about where a train of thought is headed in order to avoid those problematic words and phrases. Far from indicating senility, the alacrity with which Mr. Biden navigates his stutter is indicative of an impressive intellect.

I'm so glad I can finally speak on this properly I actually now know of a cousin who worked as a packer at Amazon and literally met him at Christmas the other day and dude said "don't work for them do not!" He warned me as if I would have wanted to work there. But yeah he was able to tell me like the real business about what happening on the ground. He works in London Ontario and also Toronto
