Make sure you install the included resistor on the yellow (ignition) wire. It won’t work without it.

I just bought a new Rebel 300 and am thinking of installing a tach. I have 5 other single cylinder bikes. The Rebel 300 is the buzziest out of my 6 bikes. It feels like it is ready to shift close to the recommended shift points Honda gives in the manual. The engine feels like it's a tad early but it sounds like it's right. The bike vibrates hard until the higher rpms where you feel it coming into power but I wouldn't say it is lugging like a bike would with early shifts. My single cylinder dirt bike is smoother. I'm just wondering if the sound is throwing me off. Really weird. I have a cammed Grom with oil spinner delete and it is far smoother than the rebel is. It honestly feels like a single cylinder without a counter balance.
