- Fire investigator Sean McCaffrey, son of the late Steven "Bull" McCaffrey, is now working at the same Chicago firehouse along with his uncle Brian (William Baldwin). When Sean is assigned to investigate a deadly fire, he and partner Maggie soon realize that they are dealing with something much more than a routine fire. The clues they discover lead them down a treacherous path of arson, murder, and international terrorism. Sean must use his intuition, along with the help of infamous jailed arsonist Ronald Bartel (Donald Sutherland), in a race to find out who is behind the fire and stop them from accomplishing their devious plans.

What a lovely, lovely story William Baldwin shares of his father, his moment of learning, and Robert DiNiro. That was very personal. And it says so much about the people who cross each other’s path gracefully, gratefully. Thanks for sharing it in this video. Peace
I wonder if Alec (William's real brother) ever got jealous or better yet proud that his brother got to be cast along as one of their father's favorite actors (Bob De-Niro.)

Exactly I was just 1 years old when that one came out and I always loved backdraft as a kid but the sequel was lame to me

USJのバックドラフトでは実際に撮影ツアーをし、たくさんの人に舞台裏を伝えてきました。
残念ながらアトラクションはクローズしてしまいましたが今までもそしてこれからも私の中では世界で1番熱く心の中に燃え続けるそんな映画です。
また、続きがいつか出ることを楽しみにしています。😊

Universal should be ashamed of themselves! Backdraft 2 was just terrible and nothing even came close to the original. So sad... Even I could have produced and directed a better sequel.

Let me see a rough draft of your sequel
Why you (Universal or Comcast) didn't better adapt the story in a 2 or 3 episodes special (or an entire season) in the Chicago Fire TV Series (which most of the time is really boring)... (the fictitious) Battalion 25, Engine 17, Truck 46, Engine 51, Ambulance 62 and (the real) OFI 468 will be always related (for me) to Backdraft.
