Iâm just thinking of all the accessibility possibilities it opens for people who canât hold pens but can use a device. Itâs awesome!
All i could think of is if someone lose 3 or more fingers
@@putraduha3176 if they improve the interface to include shapes, there are tons of options for diable people to use software. Theres this one software that uses eye movement to control it. They can use the shapes and stuff to build up a drawing.

youre thinking of all the possibilities but you didn't list 1
This would be really cool as a kit, maybe even for teaching code. :D
You can actually attach a sharpie to a 3D printer and use a program to generate custom G-code for drawing, it's useful for outlining flat parts to manufacture from materials other than plastic

@7:12 when Jazza gets so excited and realizes hes the only one in the room. ... We were all there right with you đ
I like it. This robot is useful if we need to draw using materials other than printing ink. Like charcoal, crayon etc. More flexible for options than just ink. It should make drawing fun and more interesting. Also controlling robot arm's movements are complicated and the simplicity of this robot shows us what can already be achieved. Interesting.

I wonder if this could be used for disabled artists? Someone with limited ability might find it easier to use eye tracking technology on a computer, then use this to put their artwork on real paper? Whenever I see these kind of inventions, I always think that they weren't made for able bodied people to play with, but maybe were made with disabled artists in mind?

Aha I knew it was her
Right, I was cackling.
I get that this little bot is more of a toy, but i'd love to see a slightly larger version of it (maybe up to A4 paper size) that's built out of better materials and with better servos. If it can up to similar speed of a pick-and-place bot then it will give even the best artist a run for his money.
Awesome jazz đ
Amazing! Wow you're doing well
Someone reinvented a printer
On a serious note can anyone see this thing integrated into art classes
Downgraded a printer lol
Weâve actually used them in university (Media Design), but we coded things for it as far as I remember đ€
Can a printer play guess the vegetable with you đ€
Not a printer, a plotter
Itâs a gimmick
I can actually see this being used in the future for "remote" learning, especially in regions where travelling to school is very difficult. Like being able to physically see a molecule getting drawn out in chemistry vs trying to draw it yourself while watching a lecture.
If it's built a bit more robust it could be a great handwriting teacher. Let the student hold the pen while the bot guides it so that the kid gets used to the motion. Or better yet, let the bot provide some 'pushback' tactile feeling while the child is writing, kinda like if the lines had barriers around them.
Remote surgery already practised. Teaching kids to do something (writing, drawing) from remote location using bionic/robotic arm is much easier and achieveable. more useful for physiotherapy - strengthening arm muscle with repeated simulation of movement. Or for stimulating brain tissue wih psychomotor movement for traumatised patient.
Robot won the self portrait contest, he just looks fabulous in that drawing
Amazing well done.,đđ

@SkinnyLittleNobody I see you on every video commenting negative stuff about Jazza. What is is with you and Jazza? I agree that Jazza has left his old shell of just drawing stuff, but being an artist isn't just about drawing or painting, it's also about creativity. Thinking about new videos and creating artistic and creative ones. Still an artist in my book.
In self-portrait, I liked Jazza's drawingđ€©đ€©đ€©
The robot was cute and fun, but the human artist is always going to be way better at art.

I believe the person you didnât know was Jo Brand
I imagine if they wanted to make a machine like this really work, they'd have to design a pen for it that minimizes friction. The robot can be precise, but it likely has trouble accounting for the friction when the pen rubs against the paper
You are the winner , you rocked that robot đ
It would be cool to see the robot hooked into the internet, where fans could send it drawings that Jazza has to redraw.
I have used my silhouette Cameo 3 for pen sketch and writing for more than 3 years. I think that this product would work better if it had a pen holder and not that screw. The pen loses stability because of pressure and each time it touches the paper.
