The past 9 years have reinvigorated my belief that Liverpool is the best team in the world to support. It's a wild roller coaster ride with all the wonderful highs and the gut-wrenching lows. You need the contrast to keep it interesting. To beat Man City, you need to be perfect, and it was the various draws, and bad decisions from refs that have left us short but the future is bright. 'The Front Three' used to 'defend from the front' and that's what's missing of late. Gives the opposition the option to keep tabs on every one of our boys and where they are. That's also why we're often threatened through the midfield becuase there's too much of a gap between defence and mid, and mid to attack.

By the way, you're TOTALLY spot on about us back in the 70's and 80's Paul. A LOT of the 'spectacle' was indeed 'the goal' and then it was INDEED 'shop shut' and we had the players to do it.
As I've said previously, Klopp v1.0 was the the best football I've seen as someone watching us since '77. Great memories. Thank you Jurgen.
Klopp v.2.0 has been a mess. Frantic, ping-pong football. Like everyone attacking and defending at the same time. CHAOS!
He admitted 22/23 was completely his fault and that he couldn't leave the team in that state. Well, he did another year and the only signing that has looked top class is Macallister.
So, Edwards and Ward are back and Slot will be 'Head Coach'. Onward and Upward the Reds!
I was 15 when Bob Paisley left and I don't look at Jurgen leaving the same way I did when Bob left. When Bob left we knew Joe Fagan was his replacement and it was promote from within, so not much changed. I'm looking at Jurgen leaving as we're going to go backwards, I just hope it isn't by too much and it isn't for long. The progress this club has made under FSG and especially Jurgen means we should be fine IMO. But in the back of my mind is the Souness era and I just hope we don't go anywhere near that again.

It's Klopp that wouldn't spend. It's why Edwards and Ward left and why John Henry was at Stamford Bridge asking why the fuck FSG were getting stick for not willing to spend big money. Caecedo obviously wasn't worth it. We don't know about Lavia yet.
But the manager of the fourth richest club in the world having to explain why he wouldn't spend £100 mil. on a player is embarrassing. Bellingham could have been ours.

What Cope was saying about Jurgen’s league winning side being the most methodical - my older brother is a big NFL fan and when we watch a game and a tactical decision comes up he always says What would Bill Parcels do? Parcels was known for boring decisions but he was a winner. This young breed of NFL coach that goes for it on 4th in the middle of the field cause ‘data’ does my brother’s head in.😂

To be honest I'm arsed , some fans have to stop romanticising over mediocrity or will not see another prem title for a long time , Endo Gravenberch Elliott Jones Gapko Diaz are not good enough and the sooner fans realise that the better ... I was looking at a certain channel and someone sent in a superchat saying we need a CDM and the host response was Bajcetic.. a 18 year old who played a handful of games , that to me is in a nutshell what is wrong at this club , Arsenal have Rice , City have Rodri and we have fans floating over Endo and seen Bajcetic as the answer .. fans need to snap out of it and demand quality and not been PRd or pressured into excepting mediocrity simple as that

You've a massively overinflated sense of self importance here, in relation to LFC. It doesn't matter if YOU don't "romanticise mediocrity" and another fan does because neither of you have FUCK ALL say in the running of the club, who gets bought etc. It literally DOES NOT matter. Stating X,Y, Z isn't good enough and DEMANDING QUALITY in a CZcams comment section means nothing, the only thing it gives is some sense of intellectual superiority if what you states sits true in the fullness of time.

As funny as that night was - it would have been better if it didn’t rain like that. All the big wigs were there in person (the guy leading the stadium project, Manchester mayor, future MP, and SJR). Can’t help but feel that waterfall is confirmation that they will indeed finally get their act together, sadly.
