- Mike Graham and Peter Bleksley criticize the UK police for lacking common sense and practical experience, prioritizing academic qualifications over basic knowledge, and failing to provide adequate support for frontline officers.
They highlight the lack of support for officers and the prioritization of diversity and inclusion over practical training, citing recent incidents where police officers have caused harm to living creatures. They emphasize the need for better training and support for police officers to improve their handling of situations.
A police officer who used his response car to ram an escaped cow has been removed from frontline duties, Surrey Police said.
The incident happened on Friday at around 8.55pm after the force received reports that a cow was running loose in Staines-upon-Thames.
Deputy Chief Constable Nev Kemp said: “I fully appreciate the distress our handling of this incident has caused and will ensure that it is thoroughly and diligently investigated.

Maybe it should have waved a Palestinian flag , it whould have been treated like royalty then
it was a ji hadi cow.
You've got that the wrong way round, military forces not maybe, actually has, run over civilians with tanks and bulldozers, perhaps investigation will reveal whether these cops took inspiration from the most moral army in the world.
😂😂😂 brilliant
Too true 👍.
The driver needs sacking for Animal Cruelty
The problem with Common Sense, is that it's not that common!.
as most of these comments show !!!
It has ceased to be common - probably banned by the woke left?
That was just plain cruelty!
If only the cow 🐮 had had a rainbow 🌈 flag between its teeth, things would have gone down differently. 😢
This is disgusting, a calf isn't even dangerous. The driver should be sacked and prosecuted for animal cruelty.
Let's be honest if they can't contain and control a cow , what chance is there for anything that is a threat to life 🤔
Police brutality AGAIN.
He should be sacked and prosecuted by the RSPCA.
OMD's !!
No, because he did what he was ordered to do, those who instructed him to hit it need to be sacked and prosecuted.
Nope, he did what he was told😊
Surly that person could say no. Who rams a van at an animal, what kind of person ca pin do that, yes tyrant police could do it to people so easily 🤷
@@marksapolloyeah yeah that’s what the nazis did
That was so cruel. Sick of the police.
That officer should not be suspended. He should be sacked and jailed.
😅🤣😂
I am in complete shock watching that horrifying footage. Not only did he ram the poor cow once but TWICE.
oh by the way she was taken off front line duties.. the female police officer driving.
@@ginnypurdey1 youve not see the full footage i take it???
Agree. It's not a disciplinary issue, rather a humanity/mental issue.
We have seen the police fail to get cows off motorways. They should have got a couple of farmers . It would have taken the farmers 10 minutes to safely drive the cow into a park or a dead end road. Then a cattle truck could have picked it up.
where is the RSPSA in all this
Hiding, as they always do.
and where is the British Vet Assoc?
Just a poor lost calf looking for her mother and he rams her with his car!?!? Dreadful!
He should be sacked
*SHE !!!! so whats your opinion now you no it was a woman driver?
@@TonyToning-ne7uqshould be sacked.
@@TonyToning-ne7uqshould be sacked 😊
@@Jesusdisciples27 well i think you'll be happy to know they who ever they are kept their job and are back on duty...😁😁😁😁 i love a happy ending..
@@TonyToning-ne7uq proof ? Also they was ordered to do it so that’s probably why, at least the higher erupts will get their asses handed to them
If a cow causes this uproar, no wonder criminals are laughing at the police.
great point...these fools calling for the sacking of police officer are criminals imo..
its the cruel way they did this no need for it at all
@@dianecameron137 and what if the cow had killed a child before it was stopped by the police??
@@TonyToning-ne7uq And the chances of that happening were almost zero. A bull, yes, a herd of Cows, possibly. A lone young cow, no. They could have coralled it quite easily if they had ANY sort of common sense between them.
Now if that cow would of come over on a dinghy.
Those police are disgusting. could they really NOT get a vet with a tranq gun?
It’s a cow! You don’t need to tranquillise it even, a few people could easily control it if they didn’t scare the poor thing so much.
@@marksapollo it still got feelings. and can feel pain
Disgusting,if a thug on scooter nothing done ,but a cow is fair game, British people are so embarrassed by the police.
So sad 😞
The tax payer has already been taken for a ride who is paying for benefits in this country?
And illegal migrants?
Hard working people paying tax!
This simply demonstrates just how pathetic the police are in this country.
This needs to be investigated by the A for animal cruelty and police officers and call center people need arresting and charging and jailed for 8 years sacked and not allowed the have pets for life.
The cow has probably got more brain cells
All they had to do was block the road either side of the cow. Instead they panicked the cow
Can you imagine if a citizen did the same to the cow to contain it? We would be arrested straight away and charged.
Looking at the footage. Police officer just confess. The calf did nothing wrong 😑 the owners I hope are reported for allowing the calf to be on a highway. I’m 70 as like Peter ex police officer. I had many call outs to loose animals. Horses cattle sheep pigs goats etc. farmers tried their best but are responsible. Poor fences gates and care were factors. I reported many farmers for offences but I communicated with them and learned how to the animals. This officer and the police control room are a disgrace
Chances are it was some Muppet walking their dog through the farmers field and left a gate open that they shouldn't be using.
There are a lot of graduates that lack critical thinking and logic, it's not just the police. This problem is there from our government all the way down to the youngsters.
Common sense is no longer common
@@robinwbarrett real talk.
I live on a dairy farm, Why would anyone do this to an out of bounds cow.
Absolutely disgusting 😤
I've seen a farmer with his two sheep dogs retrieve a runaway bullock within nano minutes - back to the lorry it escaped from - 'controllers' should have called a farmer for advice at least.
PETER IF THE POLICE IS NOT A "BUSINESS" WHY IS IT REGISTERED AT COMPANIES HOUSE??
For when they purchase goods and services so that they are registered as a ‘business’. This is not nearly as nefarious as you no doubt think it is.
ANIMAL ABUSE. police doing what they do best. AGAIN,
The police officer doesn't know how to handle the situation. Lack of sufficient training. Poor cow. This is animal cruelty.
Maybe next time make a call to the rural police like in Yorkshire where escaping cows happen all the time and ask their advice before ramming a car into it!
Big man ex detective finds his voice after he leaves the force....typical.
IOPC is full of retired coppers so we know how that will go. How could it be a matter of public safety when it was night time and no people were around.
IOPC are as useful as a chocolate teapot
waiting on the 'cows life matter' protest.
you'll never see them ! them freaks are to busy waving the Palestine flag about
I Dont think it will go that far lol. But still I feel bad for the calf. Attacking their own kind isn't good
@@atomicaaron0394 there seems to be a protest about every think these days. See you there
@@atomicaaron0394 will you feel bad when its killed for its meat or will you be 1 of the million hypocrites who cladly eat it 😁
its lack of training, its lack of respect, its shoddy clothes, dirty scuffed boot, shor sleeves, taoo's all over, unshaven, uniforms not washed and pressed before shift, they climb out of bed, climb into yesterday's clothes, lack of respect for authority,
im an ex vet, if we showed up of the parade ground, with any i have mentioned, we were beasted or jail
thats the problem, nor respect for the standards of uniform, dress code, hygene, and policing, which leads to shoddy lazy police, who cant even be bothered to solf a crime if they have to get out of there car
Cops, are just night club bouncers. but that’s insulting door men. 🇬🇧 Ps. The calf had more common than that so could copper.
Thats what just stop oil need. No need to do that to a cow
Totally unnecessary barbaric treatment of this animal.
The police are unfit for purpose.
😮😮😮😢😢what am I seeing ?? Poor cow 🐄 my goodness that’s , just truly awful 😞
A prosecution is in order for causing unnecessary suffering.
if this happened anywere else they would not talk about it its only because it happeneed in London
This wouldn't happen in rural areas , people would phone the farmer or shoo it back into the field , not get hysterical and ram it with a car
It did not happen in London. It happened in Surrey. It’s the Surrey police.
There is a teeny tiny male police officer (shorter than the female) in the group shown; how effective is he going to be in a confrontation.
A police officer that would make a calice decision like that isnt emotionally stable enough to do their job.
Stay away from new forest.
Nobody can order a driver to do anything.
The driver is always responsible.
If only the poor cow was wearing a Palestinian flag then it could of just run around and done whatever it liked!!!!! The officer that ran it over should be charged with animal cruelty, should be sacked and if needed JAILED!!!!!!! Absolutely disgusting, I can not watch this video it is truly awful
Police threatened to arrest me for walking in the road where they almost hit me. They demanded my name. I demanded to know why they were on MY HOUSE PRIVATE ROAD & questioning me on MY PROPERTY without a warrant? They left without apology!
WTF?!
Did the ‘poor Cow’ survive !
Surrey Fire and Rescue Service are trained in animal rescue and also have a dedicated unit, why weren’t they called as the incident would have been resolved within minutes of arrival. I’m a retired Surrey officer and over my career dealt with many animal rescues and this would have been a simple no brainer for us.
I can't imagine anyone in their right mind, would plough a car into a small calf.
Not for me.
This cop should be sacked
Do we expect anything better from the police today. Appalling brutality toward a innocent animal.
Higher and further education, in fact all levels of education currently do more to corrupt minds than improve them.
What would of happen if the cow went into the police window the way he was driving?
MSM is milking this!😅
What happened to the poor calf? Did it survive? I hope someone with a kind heart, who has a field, can rescue it from going to the slaughter house. Poor thing. That was hard to watch. The pig who ran it over should be jailed. Awful.
It’s just a young cow ? Walk up to it don’t run away! Pathetic.
are they going to start running dogs over, becaue they got out or slipped a lead,
So much division these days that even pigs have beef with cows 😵💫
Had this have been a bull calf, it would have been on plates as veal by now anyway!!
Nah more likely to be in your McDonald’s and from the size it would have another 12 months until it’s big enough for that
In a modern day Police force do they not have dart guns? How long would it have taken to get one to the scene. Even the local vet could have helped.
I am sure that there was another solution to this.
There was , call the farmer or a vet , it would have been caught in minutes
A policeman with a college degree in law enforcement would not be as useful as one who has experience coming up the ranks. Would you want a baby sitter who took a home correspondence course in child riasing but had never changed a diaper?
If only the poor calf had the sense to have tried to break into a car or attempted to burgle a house.....that way the Police would have never shown up in the first place and he could have walked back safely to their herd. That sick copper going home to his family that evening to tell his wife and kids how he protected the public from a massive bloodbath situation....shocking! he should be sacked, named and shamed all over the web
Holy cow, now that was so uncalled-for they could have killed the poor animal. Were the police that frustrated with the Cow, they had to run it over?
Stupid pun and inappropriate.
🤔The "common-sense" here, I think, was: "It's only an animal! ... I'll show everyone how it's done! ... I'll use my 2 ton police-car!" 👏
as a stirk ,still had more balls than polis.
As a brit in florida. I love our police they are there immediately
As usual Peter common sense put Peter in charge for God sake 🙄
It's a small cow. Why is everyone panicking?
This is why trespass needs to be a criminal offence in the UK as I bet the cow got out because some Muppet left a field gate open while walking their dog through the farmers field.
What about the FARMER? They are so busy casting blame that they fail to admit their own liability in this matter!!
Was The Driver A Halal Butcher,,, Jail It,,
All those Police Officers, All those hours wasted and of course the unnecessary 'assault' on the extremely stressed cow. So I was driving to work on morning a few years back, came round a bend on a fast country road to find not one but 3 cows in the road. I got out of my car leaving it blocking the road, waited briefly for a car to come in the opposite directing and asked the driver to wait 5 minutes, then set off on foot to the nearest farm house which happened to be the owner of the cows. within 10 minutes the cows, unharmed and unstressed were guided back into the farm by the farmer. Though I do live in Norfolk I'm originally from South London, where Chickens come from plastic bags but common sense kicked in and the issue was over within 15 minutes. I expect the Hindu community in this area are not best pleased.
Too be fair there was a lot at steak!
I hear the farmer said this was a horrific attack on his cow.....just out of interest, what were the farmers' future plans for that cow?....u people would have enough to say if the cow killed a kid and police didn't do anything. 😡
salt & pepper spray normally works on beef cattle
Omg horrible.
Cow got run down like the opps.
The police are an udder disgrace
Here we go, everyone's going to milk the cow puns.
We don't know the full facts yet, it could have been armed to the teeth with weapons or had a bomb strapped on its back, anything is possible theses days.
Can Peter run for the Chief of the Met, he seems to be the only person who knows how to Police, he talks sense and knows his stuff due to his extensive experience in doing the job, all the higher ranking Police officers have no life experience, they come straight from university and have no clue how to catch criminals at all, i tried to join the Police when i was young many years ago and was knocked back so i never re-applied, i’m glad i didn’t looking at Policing today
Responsibility lies solely with the landowner to make sure there's no way for cattle to escape. What if the calf had caused damage or worse injured someone? A civil claim against the farmer would ensue for negligence, that being said it was a bad call but not surprising these days when force's across the country are paying out tens of thousands a year in civil claims for illegal detainments arrests etc.
Land owner ? I have a farm with no rights of way yet constantly plagued with individuals wandering about trampling fences and leaving gates open
@@nickcoppard5335 if you cant stop them then encourage them to cross without damage. Install a few stiles where people are regularly crossing. also, just because you put a fence up and block access doesn't mean there is no right of way. arrogant farmers have been blocking rights of way for years, check a map or survey to confirm this. the main thing is that if your land blocks off access to somewhere walkers want to go or blocks access onto a legal right of way people are going to trespass to access it. the easier and more common sense approach would be to allow access for walkers where you can control the access points and prevent damage to your fences. I believe that the countryside should be accessible to all. if you plan on blocking off large areas of the countryside to walkers then don't be surprised when they trespass. this isnt an issue in Scotland as access to the countryside is a right
No zoo anywhere near at all? A zoo certainly would have a tranquiliser gun.
Peter is wrong on this one. I’m sorry but the blame lies with the farmer. It was going on for hours causing damage and a risk of trampling people. Although people think it was funny look at the footage of the person having to go through a gate and every time they walked back it turned and headed towards them. You can’t handcuff and wrestle a cow. Sadly it had to be put down.
Maybe that officer just want to bring home to his misses a roadkill!
Ex detective thinks he’s some kind of god.
Its nothing special
Suffolk Constabulary shot a bull about 10 years ago, I think on HQ grounds (Martlesham)
Crazy police officer shocking.
Cow was the leader of Hamas
They are a disgrace the police
The fecking cop was suspended?! What a joke.
Yes a joke he was suspended, he should have been sacked and prosecuted. What a vile, cruel creature he is.
It may be a cow but it's still a animal and other things could of been done
I noticed its oky for people to go around damaging vehicles.& Hi speed scooters on foot paths knocking down people
peter i have followed you for years, this was disgusting behavour of the police
Cowboy
The retired officer likes to say put his door in and go grab him its that simple 😆
