- FRIENDS TILL THE END | The Kliq Collection (Full Career Documentaries)
Shawn Michaels is perhaps the greatest in ring performer of all time. With a high flying, ahead of his time athletic style, he was instrumental in changing the landscape of American wrestling in the 90’s in a way that laid the groundwork for the modern day, carrying with him a catalogue of classic matches that few if any can compete with as he did. Yes, over the course of two separate career runs, he’s proven he can stand up next to the best of them whether that’s on the mic or, more importantly, in the ring. So, join us today as we take a deep dive into his entire career journey in: Heartbreak Kid: The Shawn Michaels Story.

Shawn did not throw Marty through that window. Marty dove through that window in an attempt to escape from Shawns inescapable greatness.

One big mistake! Michaels didn't throw Jannetty thru the window, he dove thru the window to escape in a act of cowardism & thats from The Brain!! All jokes aside, this is another great piece from you!! They always are & I appreciate it, AWESOME!!
Thank you. Now I have to look that up
@@taylorscrews2284 it's definitely worth the time to look it up & watch it! It's one of the funniest things I've ever seen on TV, not just wrestling but anything on TV!! Bobby The Brain makes it comedy gold!! It's on CZcams as Sean Michaels & Marty Jannetty barber shop with Brutus the barber.
I don't think HBK is as hated in Canada anymore as some think. Maybe in Calgary and Montreal. Most of my fellow Canadian wrestling fans appreciate him. I was especially a fan of his first heel run when he was mostly an upper-mid-card guy with the occasional main event appearance.
Nowadays I think Western Canada just hate any that's just Quebec since that's Fake Canada
its still fuck HBK to this day
I imagine the invisible comments are salty Canadians 😂
From Calgary myself. Never hated him.

@tommydeamon7657 Lol he said "The Kliq collection" at the start. The video is a combination of all of his videos on the Kliq's various members. That's why it's longer than usual. Someone needs to learn what words mean. XD
41:23 This is quite interesting now in 2023 where many believe that HHH *has* improved the product since he's taken over.
DDP is an absolute gem of the industry. Such an underused superstar.
Not only the best wrestler ever.
But ddp yoga. Has had a real world effect by helping his former colleagues with movement and pain..
DDP...
Thats why he's the best wrestler ever..
Next to Steve Austin.. ( who helped others)
HHH who did the same..
Stephanie McMann who also fought for their rights..
And mick Foley..
For keeping the show going.. He was a content genius.
Randy Boredom owes DDP a debt of gratitude. Then again, Johhny Ace invented that move or popularized it before them.
The real ppls champion in my opinion.
who gave DDP his blessing@@pjomayo
Rare is it to see actual magic. He really did transcend wrestling
Say what you want about The Clique, they definitely played a big part in wrestling during the mid 90s and gave us two of the most important factions of the Monday Night Wars, The NWO and DX
*Kliq
Kliq✸^
They were also responsible for most of the best storylines and some of the best single matches of the whole era.
But when you talk about the best of all time, there's only 3 names that really can top that list.
Ric "Dirtiest Player In The Game" Flair, Bret "The Hitman" Hart, and "The Heart Break Kid," Michael Shawn Hickenbottom.
@@oliverkloshophdndrecords50 Definitely, and I think if Nash and Hall had not left WCW, we would've not had a nWo instead we would have the powerful Kliq in the WWF. Nash. Hall. Michaels. Helmsley & X-Pac would've made a great Kliq Heel Faction.
if it was not for the kliq it wouldn't be more real and edgy
It's crazy to think what wrestling would of been like if these guys weren't friends, top guys, or in pro wrestling in general.. Just imagine if there was never a DX or NWO, Evolution, etc.. You think pro wrestling would of still been as popular between the mid 90s and up? We would of been stuck with Hulkamania, FOREVER..😂
OH NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

From around 96-97 all the way through 2003-05ish, we had the best wrestling ever.
I wish I'd known it was gonna fall off like it did, I may have had more appreciation for it during that time.
Agreed. I'm appreciating 04-05 Christian as I re-watch.
You could be like me and happily re-binge watch that also.

MY FIRST MEMORABLE WRESTLING MOMENT
RIP bad guy and co founder of one of the greatest factions in the history of pro wrestling.
Attitude Era definitely started before WM14, as the Attitude Era promos were first broadcast at Survivor Series '97. I'd say it started sometime in the Autumn of that year, around the time DX first formed.
Key word is Era
Diesel, 1995 Raw promo after Survivor Series.
I think the formation of the kliq or when WWF started using the Raw Is War titantron
RIP Scott Hall aka Razor Ramon
Hey... Yo....
We miss you my friend.
Its interesting how Shawn said Scott lived much longer than a lot of people expected. Goes to show that they were worried about his health failing him for quite awhile
The second best Razor Ramon.
Bro keep up with the videos
Highly appreciated G
You have to give Shawn Michaels credit for his vision. Of course with his ability to look at two things at once it is easier for him. The only thing lazy about him is his eye
Sean Waltman should definitely go into the Hall of Fame. He easily earned the other 2. He worked hard for what he had. His problems are in the past, his future should be in the Hall of Fame.
He is as apart of dx
@@verdellcouncil6616 That's what I said by the other 2, DX and NWO.
The thing with Marty was that he is actually 5 years older than Shawn and was already in his mid 30s by 1993, most wrestlers tend to retire by 40, while Shawn wasn't even 30 in 1993 and had plenty in the tank, any real prospect of Marty getting a push ahead of a younger and better wrestler was probably a pipe dream by that stage.
I think the biggest reason behind that whole situation was age, time was on Shawns side, not on Marty's.
Andy you don't understand how much I love these videos
Fire been waiting on this one 🤘🏾
Man this should be a Movie what a story. The Kliq: Friends in madness
Listen to Nash's podcast. He did an episode on who he'd cast if there was a Kliq sitcom.
When it's 3/4 away from 2 hours you know they had decorated careers all together
He just took all of his videos on the various kliq wrestlers and mashed them together lol take any 5-6 of his videos and mash them together and they'd be the same length. The original videos were still good as well though.
Love these stories. Keep em coming. Can we get the 4 Horsemen at some point
I can remember watching a 19 year old Shawn Michaels when I was a kid, never thought he would rise to this level; best thing Shawn ever did was deliver "Sweet Chin" music to Marty.
It was Bam Bam Bigelow who said he used to watch HHH carry The Kliq’s bags lol
He called him a bitch lol
From carrying the Kliq’s bags to hating on the Rock only to be extremely surpassed by him 😂. Sorry I never cared for Trips and we all know why he had the success he did
@@-sdot83 None of that is true.
As of right now the only member of the Kliq who isn’t a 2x Hall of Famer is Triple H but you know that’ll change soon.
Not really. He's humble in real life. And Nash said his solo induction would be posthumously.
And unless Evolution goes in this year (they should but probably won't if Rock gets the Hollywood induction), not any time soon.
I love your videos, especially I can learn lots of English words to enhance my skills everyday.
I am from Vietnam.
You are doing very good. Your English is great 👍 keep up the good work friend.
I've heard about Shawn Michaels playing football but i know nothing else about it. Has he ever talked about it? Like I know he has. I guess what I'm trying to say is if I had a question to ask him I would ask him what his favorite plays were that he could remember . you know, could be the littlest things could be the most craziest thing, but, I'd be curious to hear what he has to say about that. If anything.
You do really good work
The "S" in Paul's last name Levesque is silent. So Levesque is pronounced "Levek". Another great video tho, keep cranking them out, bro. Quick request: can you do a video on The Radicalz?
Always loved pac as a kid .dude was like liquid in the in the ring
My favorite story about the Montreal screw job was that Vince really thought he was the babyface the next night on Raw when he was telling the crowd that Bret screwed Bret, and his heel turn was never planned bc he really didn't think the fans would see things differently
The part telling the story of HHH was the only section i fast forwarded thru. We all know who and what he did to go to the top.. Might as well admit he wanted to change his last name to McMahon after marriage.
Very good video just wish there were no blurred out segments but with copyright crap it's understood.
RIP Scott Hall (Razor Ramon) 😢💔

HHH basically runs WWE these days along with HBK as creative head as Vince is on his last leg.
The Iron Man Match was never a "snoozer". It was a groundbreaking bout that tested both competitor's conditioning and tenacity. It was only appropriate that they did more technical moves than high flying spots since it was a one hour card. They would have easily sapped if they followed a fast pace offering.
Loved HHH/Rock's ironman match. HBK'S bored me. Not his fault. Bret never did anything for me.
There should be more focus on their backstage politics and all the people they've screwed during their time in the WWF (especially Shane Douglas).
Agreed and for some reason I always thought Triple H came across as a yes man and I’m sorry but he is not as legendary as most view him. I know it killed him inside to see the Rock surpass him in and out of the ring!
Douglas was going nowhere in wwf. Why should anyone care if he got steamrolled?
How about an in-depth one about The Bullet Club, The Shield, The Wyatt Family/Windhams, The Horsemen/women, etc. If you're still fielding ideas....
He already did one
Something Kid and HHH had in common: people overshooting dives and injuring them. 😢😢 With kid, his head, with HHH, RVD crushed his throat.

Attitude Era…For me, it was when DX did the State of the Union Address on USA. Afterwards, Vince called Shawn and Trips to his office and let them have it…The USA Network liked how they did it, and told Vince to keep it up.i believe that’s when it truly began.
Nice, a video on a Monday
HBK was so good that there are still wrestlers today trying to coppy his moves and yea i'm pointing at mini hbk Dolph Ziggler.
Undertaker was so good!!!
Fun Fact: Triple H was supposed to win the 1996 King of The Ring but he didn’t because Vince punished him because of the curtain call incident, so if it wasn’t for this incident Stone Cold Steve Austin wouldn’t have became a huge star
Don't you mean 1996 Triple H won the 1997 king of the Ring
Triple H won it in 97. Stone cold was 96
i daresay austin would have become a star sooner or later.
Austin would’ve gotten to the top regardless, only it would’ve taken longer.

He said "some even being 2 time inductees".. What he really should have said was "all but one, and that one would eventually become a 3 time inductee."

Best part of the iron man match was Shawn's entrance!!!

Michaels turned on Jannetty on January 12, 1992, not January 11, 1993. I think you got the date of Monday Night Raw’s debut mixed up in there!
I have never met another wrestling fan that admitted their favorite Wrestler was X-Pac, but every time he hit that X crotch shot, I went crazy as a kid. It was like the ultimate “F U” I fuckin loved him growing up. To this day, my favorite wrestler.

Regards the Saudi show. Shawn was the best thing on that cluster. Trips Got injured , Taker could barely move and Kane (whose sole reason for existence was to take the pin in that match) lost his wig. Shawn at least was competent

8:07 that poor, poor lumbar. Nash's powerbomb was always so lazy -- he didn't slam, he just picked them up and let them fall
The ring surface was much harder back then. Plus you see his height. Don't think anyone taller than him ever used a powerbomb.
So slamming opponents means broken spine.
I miss the likes of Denegeration X and the klique by Steve Irungu Jermaine
The only group undertaker backed down from.
He knew which side his bread was buttered
Brutus didn't shower so McFly dove through the window to escape the smell.
The thing is, HHH didn’t bury talent. It was Vince. Vince booked HHH strong. Vince wanted HHH to win those matches. HHH knew wins and losses didn’t matter. He wanted to put butts in seats. True that he didn’t want to lose to Greenberg. He didn’t want to lose to Greenberg b/c Greenberg didn’t care about the business.
If he grew up in Texas did they air WWF when he was a kid or was it territorial? And he grew up in 70’s before cable so if he did watch WWF it was in late 70’s early 80’s at the least or until the son Vince bought the company
You are so right😂
Kliq is one of the most historic pro wrestling group of friends who came to fame in the 90's
Leave it to one of least liked members of the kliq to get in both DX and NWO when it actually meant something not a reboot but the real thing
DX and NWO is the Kliq.
If money didn't get in the way you wouldn't have two separate groups. The Kliq would just finally be on tv instead of backstage on Raw like they wanted.
We don't deserve DDP. he's just a beacon of humanity. Hes the grown up version of "my parents are arguing, can I stay over" and like "fuck yeah so many activities, btw these are to distract you but its also good for you, like check out what mums cooking its gonna be awesome later but right now you're 4 star jumps behind me so catch up'

Reading, England is actually pronounced as Redding for some reason
s/o for hhh n kevin for being the other two’s babysitter pretty much w their demons
Good video but you got a few things wrong on the Kevin Nash part. Kevin Nash didn’t start booking until the beginning of 1999. After the finger poke doom. I mean yes he’s going to be painted. Is this control freak? When did you want to keep the championship on him? I’ve never understood this argument “Kevin is an asshole because he just wanted to be champion so we booked himself to be Goldberg.!” OK so if that’s your argument, why did he give the bill to Hogan eight days later? The finger poke of doom is another case of Eric Bischoff not being able to tell Hogan “no “.
And the fans really weren’t tired of the Wolfpack ever when they split away from the original group. They were the most over thing in the company to the point that when Kevin did finally beat Goldberg at Starrcade, there was just as many fans cheering him on as there were Goldberg. Don’t take my word for it go watch the tape it’s on the net work. That arena exploded when Kevin beat him.
When the fan Scott tired of it was the finger poke of doom and the two groups reunited that’s when everyone got sick of it .
I love Howell pro wrestling is the only sport world history can just be rewritten for so long and even though this stuff is on the net work to prove people, wrong people just except it as fact because WWE documentaries and people like Dave Meltzer have just reported it this way for so long that it it’s become true. Not really, but it’s sad that what actually happened cannot be reported ask the truth. Think about that why are people in pro wrestling fans and dirt sheet writers alike, so scared to tell pro wrestling history in a factual manner?
I like to see complete screens with nothing but blur bro.
Just for clarification greatest WWE mic talent hands down is The Rock. Greatest In ring performer was Nick Foley with by far the most memorable matches with the Undertaker Stone Cold and The Rock and that's just mankind.. Dude Love and Cactus Jack was entirely different in ring animal.
I still wait for an official retirement match for X Pac, Kamizake Kid, 123 Kid, Syxxx or whatever
why do they keep blurring certain parts....its very annoying
The blurs help with copy right strikes.
