He explained about how important vit D was for the immune system, how the majority of people in UK were deficient and we should all be taking it. He said thr levels the NHS recommended were too low and no pharmaceutical companies were interested as there were no profits to be made!!! He was so right!!

In Feb 2019 I discovered my Vit D levels were 7 ng/ml. (yes, 7!!) I had been sick a lot the preceding 5 years with bronchitis and once pneumonia. Many Many colds. Since then, I have been taking 3x25 mcg Vit D tablets (3,000 IU) and it took my vit D to 28 ng/ml (Sept 2019). Then then pandemic hit, so I upped it to 5000 IU's and my vit D levels are currently 47 ng/ml. I caught covid In December, and while it was unpleasant, I am completely recovered. Not even a visit to the doc was necessary. I am a 42 year old obese white man. In the time that my vit D levels have improved, I have hardly been sick at all. As they prefer not being bothered with a slight discomfort on the premises that the measurements are efficacious. They'd rather continue spreading the virus and causing mass healthcare overload and with that a very high mortality, because "some measurements have not been tested double blind", and if the measurements have been tested double blind the results are all bought by big pharma and it is all part of the big reset.

So it is esential for overcoming an infection with whatever. We have winter, bad weather, old people don't go out so often. What do you need more?? With a statistic alone you can prove everything... But some people need them, obviously! That's my point. And, what shall be wrong with taking Vitamin D so everyone has enough Vitamin in his blood?? I don't get this point of the rejectionist attitude. Nobody promises something, it's only: "It is necessary for a good outcome of an infection, so take it and controlle it!" You cant falsify this. I detain this discussions out of resentments and negativity. And I won't answer, if you answer that.

US Navy study on melanoma and Vitamin D.
_Compared with the U.S. civilian population, personnel in indoor occupations had a higher age-adjusted incidence rate of melanoma, i.e., 10.6 per 100,000 (p = .06). Persons who worked in occupations that required spending time both indoors and outdoors had the lowest rate, i.e., 7.0 per 100,000 (p = .06). Incidence rates of melanoma were higher on the trunk than on the more commonly sunlight-exposed head and arms. Two single occupations were found to have elevated rates of melanoma: (1) aircrew survival equipmentman, SIR = 6.8 (p less than .05); and (2) engineman, SIR = 2.8 (p less than .05). However, there were no cases of melanoma or no excess risk in occupations with similar job descriptions. Findings on the anatomical site of melanoma from this study suggest a protective role for brief, regular exposure to sunlight and fit with recent laboratory studies that have shown vitamin D to suppress growth of malignant melanoma cells in tissue culture_
