- This is a taste test/review of the IHOP Fantastical Wonka Burger. It is a 100% USDA Choice Black Angus steakburger with lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, four-cheese blend, avocado, 2 strips of bacon, fried hash browns, IHOP sauce and a ranch drizzle on a brioche bun. It was $12.99 for the burger and one side item.

That looked like a good burger. I agree that I could do without the avocado. The onion rings looked fantastic!

Before my girlfriend's death, we would eat at IHOP quite a bit. 90% of the time I would get the Country-Fried Steak meal but would occasionally get their burgers. I've always loved the onion rings. I do like Avocado, but there is just so much going on here that it just gets lost. Avocados should be the only topping outside of maybe fried onions and cheese. If they had to put hash browns on it, should have been a patty, like McDonald's has. Price is a bit high but even in 2015, the non-breakfast meals were pretty high. Most of their burgers were between $8.99 and $10.99. I haven't gone back to IHOP since she died, but I may just order this for pick-up. Thank you Kevin.

Crazy to read these comments and the dislike of avocado.. the total opposite of Californians. Most everyone pays EXTRA to add avocado.

I agree, I love some good battered, crunchy onion rings. Whoa look at all the toppings! Avocado’s, to me don’t have flavor at all. I always add Everything But the Bagel Seasoning on it. I would prefer a hashbrown patty. This sounds good. Great review Kevin.
It looks delicious & the price is very fair. you get a lot of food for the money. I will check it out. except for the bacon, I like it.

Where I'm from it sucks that there's no IHOP where I'm from
IHOP has some of the most underrated onion rings. I doubt they make them fresh daily, I’m just wondering do they have someone make them specifically for them or just use a general supplier like great value etc. this burger also looks interesting. As for the price, be glad it isn’t Australia. Their average mom and pop restaurants charge $17 for hamburgers alone and that’s the basic hamburger. I’d bet this burger would be $20+ alone.
I agree from the looks it needs more hash browns. I’d love to see instead of just Avocado I’d like to see guacamole as well but it’d probably be way too messy.

The classic cheese burger at IHOP is much better and manageable. My favorite burger is chili’s. Tuesdays it is 10.99 with drink and fries. Delicious.
I would've tossed the buns and used pancakes
even if 10 out of 5, just cant order a burger from a pancake shop! :)

Hey Kevin, I have to agree with you on the hash browns but the thing that really bugs me is the WILTED leaf of lettuce that I get in most burgers from most restaurants and take-outs........Usually it's the outer dark green leaves that have started to decay and should be thrown in the gabbage, but no, they save money by putting them on my burger.......Again, they have lost me as a customer just by doing that.......Anyhow, 4 out of 5 seems reasonable Kevin.....

I don't like avocado and I'm not a big fan of bacon on a burger. It looked pretty messy so I think I would pass. Thank you for the review as always. 👍
