- Here I give you my opinion on Milwaukee's framing nailer after nine months of use. How did it stand up? Hint, it's pretty awesome. Only a handful of jams over the time period. Mostly due to user error on occasion. This is a solid tool that would be a asset to any contractors tool bag.

Milwaukee Framing Nailer!
amzn.to/3mTSNBu
just got one yesterday morning, tried it that same day, framed a 10x14, love it, works great, slightly heavy but your not framing a whole house and roof with it, its fine, build your arm up a little bit and you wont notice how heavy it is, i didnt notice too much after an hour or two, maybe if you use it all day nonstop, then again, we dont use a nailer all day nonstop for what we do so, im very happy with it
Just bought the 2744-20. I have always sprayed WD on the mags and firing head assemblies on my air nailers which has worked great to prevent jambs and misfires in addition to oiling the inside of the gun up regularly. This gun dose not require internal oiling but I’m wondering if I should keep the mag and firing head lubricated like I do on my air nailers.
Nice review. Thanks for sharing.
Does Milwaukee have like a protective piece for the tip of the framing nailer,I think it is called non marring rubber, the 18 gauge slim stapler and also 18 gauge brad nailer has it,I am not sure what exactly the name is,so that the nailer's tip will not be eating or sink into the surface of the wood being worked on.
Just bought this gun the other week and I have issues with the 50mm nails jamming in the magazine any one else have similar problems? I have emailed Milwaukee and just waiting on there response
I bought the 21゚ Nail or I haven't used to yet cause the job I got a forward Job what's on hold I need to get some nails and try it
🤩🍻🍺😊
💥💥 But is it disposable when it breaks.? I had a plug in anniversary edition Milwaukee sawzall that broke and Milwaukee wanted $20 less to fix it than it cost to buy a brand new one. Who fixes these types of tools these days.??
I have used mine very hard for the past month or so and it has been a great tool. Would definitely buy another one. So I did.
any update on how theyre holding up for you
I have been using my 21 degree and my 30 degree about 3-4 times a week working on my house I am building. I have been using the 30 degree way more because certain 21 degree nails are out of of stock in my area. Only problem I have had is that it dry fired 2 times one day so I put a little tool oil in the track and it has been working like a champ. I have ran close to 7,000 nails through it in the past 4-5 months or so.
I’ve had mine for about 4 months now and what I’ve noticed is that when it’s on bump fire it will over heat after 15-18full clips (standard mag) and won’t fire properly so you have to keep turning it off and on. Idk if it was the weather making it over heat quickly but it was 25c so idk
I'm having the same issues. About 10-35° here up until recently. Would only fire 2 nails then I'd have to turn it off and on. A drag, literally, when trying to frame. Have you found a solution?
@@-themercyseat yes find your nearest Milwaukee store and have them repaired it 5 year warranty
Mine fell off my tool belt 3 stories and still works
Mine too, 16ga first gen
How long does the battery last when using it
Milwaukee is the apple of tools
I just bought one and it will not sink the nails. In fact, it bends them. I removed the magazine and the rod moves like it is supposed to, but the nails just won't sink. I have had a few that went in flush, but most of them are proud, anywhere from 1/2 to 1 inch, or like I said before, they bend over.
Bought one yesterday and it refuses to sink nails. It leaves them bent or 2inches proud. On a 3 1/4 nail
Does the milwaukee nailer require oiling like paslode nailers?
No. Maintenance free
I think I will try the Ridgid 30 degree framing nailer when it comes out sometime this year. $330 with lifetime guarantee. If you use a 10% off coupon brings the price down to about $300 weights about the same.
And they also have a longer magazine for it!
a quality tool with limited warranty is a lot better than a subpar tool with "lifetime warranty". I hate their for-life service agreement because they make you go through so many hoops. Two batteries died on me and their excuse was that I didn't register. Who the hell registers the batteries? I go out of my way to avoid rigid now and Milwaukee has been great.
Pretty cool tool but my 21° overheating today after put in place 12 plywood temperature outside was 93° I will stick with my pneumatic gun
Does it take paslode nails??
Yes
The company I work for bought theirs about a year ago. We do it all. Nails stopped sinking and no one can explain why. I definitely don’t want to tear mine apart. But right now it’s useless
Mine's failing now after about 3 months of pretty frequent use. Only sets a 3" nail 1" deep.
Mine too. Nitrogen spring needs service.
My is not pumping what can i do
E repair service.
How does it do in the cold?
So far great
Hey do you oil this gun
No
Every time I hear a Milwaukee nailer my brain tells me one of your videos is starting 😂. Battery life is reasonable?
Lol thanks. Battery life is amazing. Really no need for a larger battery on it if you have a 5 amp.
@@RenovationsandRepair does the 5amp last a 8hr day? Thinking of buying one real soon!
Battery last an 8 hr pick up day
what size nails?
Standard nail size is 3-1/4” and 0.31 diameter
Any problem with it leaking?
Not yet!
@@RenovationsandRepair I have seen a lot of videos of people saying it leaks. It was nice to see someone who liked it. I would like to buy one myself.
@chrisclark239 I have two of them and by far the best cordless battery nailers in the market.
This thing is heavy
