  • Easily switch out convert Milwaukee Fuel framing nailer from 30 degree to 21 degree so you can use different angle stick nails. No modifying to the gun just to the magazine. It's easy to swap over your nailer magazine from 30 to 21 degree with a little grinding, sanding, or filing. I got the 21 degree extended framing nailer magazine for my mine and swapped it over in just a few minutes. It definitely fits with a little adjustment to the magazine and no modifying to the actual gun which is good news.
    amzn.to/3wlH71b here is one place to check for a extended capacity magazine.
    ebay.us/axj37v here is a second place to check with more options.
    amzn.to/3wmtMFX here you can find a belt detailing file sander if you want like I used for this project. It worked well for this.

      i will be doing the same thing. wife got me the 21deg for Christmas. to be honest the only other difference i can think of is the 21 might be slightly stronger too if we knew the internal cartridge capabilities only because with 21deg it can shoot thicker nails then the 30deg.

    Milwaukee knows they can make one framing nailer and sell it with multiple magazines but they can make more money selling a completely separate version same with there 15/16/18 ga nailers

    Great Video. When my parts arrive next week I also ordered some .148 so I will verify if those work, as I need that for my project. I have several of the 30's. I was concerned about this approach but looking at my gun this isn't a moving part. I thought this was something the gun hit, but it not being moving I am not worried. That inner nose is really the only difference, I can find. Parts wise on the diagrams the service parts are the same. looking on ebay the 21 has 9-1, and the other has the H-3 nose. Based only off 2 pictures.

    Paul, I watched your video on sloping pipe. Great idea with the block taped to the level. What I actually was trying to find where does the pipe make its adjustment to create the slope and how solids are kept moving down the length of the pipe. Whether it is PVC or Cast Iron, does the slope come from skewing the pipe inside the fittings. I was thinking if the flange is level where is slope introduced? If pipe is not bowed.

    • @SmartEasyDIYer
      @SmartEasyDIYer  Před 2 lety +1

      Thank you. So it’s about sloping the whole pipe 1/4 inch per foot typically. In the example by adding a 1 inch block at the end of a 4 foot level and reading the level as exactly level you are essentially dropping it a 1/4 inch per foot. Hopefully that makes sense.

    I was thinking o do one from 21to 30 but I didn't know if was possible in till now .
    From the manufacturer point of view it's beneficial to sale 2 guns in stead of adaptation ... everybody leaching on working people back. Like it's not enough that 21° gun costs wit 50 sterling pounds more , they made this huge case for the F thing, people who see me whit the case my believe I am a sniper.

    • @SmartEasyDIYer

      Yes so Milwaukee only makes one framing nailer but they make it in 2 variations. 30° and 21°. So it depends which type of nails you plan to use. In this video I showed that it’s possible to convert them to work with either style magazine with a little modifying but if you know which type of nail you plan to use most that’s the one I would get.

      @SmartEasyDIYer  Před 2 lety +1

      That’s sounds like a fun project! As long as you don’t get the extended capacity magazine which is a lot longer cuz it holds 2 strips of nails they should both be about the same size. I have used both and haven’t noticed much difference in that regard.
