Not to mention their massive brain size, combined with their extremely large and developed regions of the brain responsible for conscious thought, and speech. They even have different dialects. Scary to think but as research progresses, it’s starting to look like they are much more intelligent than humans, with their body anatomy being their limiting factor of course.

Whales are such crazy animals, it’s hard to believe they actually exist. They are possibly the most beautiful and precious creatures on this planet. Especially since they are nearing extinction. Which is a really sad thing to think about. The biggest animals to ever exist on planet earth, wiped out because some tiny, insignificant ape things decided to play god of destruction. Which is why we need to do all that we can to preserve and protect these magnificent creatures.

It was super late like 3 in the morning and I was the only one out on the dock at this moment. Millions of stars filled the sky and reflected on the sea. It was calm and quiet. Suddenly I heard the soft call of a whale in the distance, I rushed to the side of the ship to look in the direction of where the sound came from. I stared for what felt like hours waiting for something to happen. Then I heard it again and saw the massive blue whale slowly appear above the water before disappearing beneath the sea. It was the most magical moment of my life.

Wonder how much “Horsepower” it takes to stack up to just ONE “Whale power”?!

I can’t answer the question but I did have a butch online. A blue whale can exert 120 kilo Newton’s of power which is roughly double the thrust of an F-15 fighter jet. That’s sick

According to my calculations about 719 horsepower is equal to one bluewhalepower

@@carlosr.5971 Well power is equal to Force multiplied by Velocity, so I used the force of 120,000N provided by @Nothing above and multiplied by its top speed in meters per second. That gives you its power in Watts, so I then converted from Watts to Horsepower

@@carlosr.5971 I should state that I gave a very conservative estimate. Using their top speed, they would have a top power output of around 2235Hp but since that's in very short bursts they couldn't maintain that for long
