In gen 2, in addition to the regular stat badge boosts that existed in the first 3 gens, each gym badge will give a boost of 12.5% to your attacks that are of the type of the gym where you got the badge. Even though Blue doesn't specialize in any type, his badge still boosts ground type moves as if it was still Giovanni. This means that if you have beaten every gym leader from both Kanto and Johto, every single one of your offensive moves will have its power boosted... except for the Dark-type ones, since it's the only type that doesn't have a gym.
This feature is never referenced in the game in any way, and to my knowledge was never officially acknowledged in any capacity. It was most likely discovered by datamining the game.

As you said, with how easy it is to prep a Pokémon for competitive now a days, it wouldn’t shock me if they removed Pokerus purely because it became redundant. Starting with SwSh they removed the limit on vitamins, and with there being easy ways to grind money in SwSh & SV, the only purpose Pokerus would serve is bragging rights if you got it naturally. Not to mention the Macho Brace already did the same thing anyways.

That depends on how doomed to fail Z-A is, because part of me is worried that TPC won't give a crap if the games fail.
Kalos needs to stop being dunked on as much as it does; as someone who joined the fandom somewhere between Gens 5 and 6, it pains me to see how much TPC seems to hate Gen 6.

the 3 held items in XY exclusive to natural objects are
the wiki berry (purple trees on route 5) requires blizzard
the float stone (rock in connecting cave) requires rockslide
the snowball (piles of snow on route 17) also requires rockslide
luckily both are tms, you can buy blizzard at the pokemart in anistar for $70,000 and rockslide you can find above the waterfall in couriway(requires surf, waterfall)
good pokemon for it would be poliwrath
    -
you can catch poliwhirl on a bunch of different routes with the good and super rods(id recommend R21, itll be either lv40 or 50- bulky enough to survive R17 encounters), give it a water stone, teach your new poliwrath surf and waterfall to get rockslide, then teach it rockslide and blizzard
now you have 3 pretty much useless items

They did that in S/V. You can get egg moves by deleting moves from your Pokemon to give them empty slots, let them hold a Mirror Herb, then starting a picnic with a it and a Pokemon that knows the move you want to copy. You can also get hidden abilities by using Ability Patches (which were also in Sw/Sh).
